Privacy Policy for Logic Gate Lab
Introduction
Logic Gate Lab ("the App") is an educational and professional mobile application developed by AntoTech ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the App. The App is a high-precision digital electronics simulator designed for students, electronic engineers, and hobbyists. It offers real-time logic gate simulation (AND, OR, NOT, XOR, NAND, NOR), dynamic truth table generation, multi-stage circuit design, digital signal analysis via timing diagrams (Logic Analyzer), and interactive examination modules. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. The App is designed to operate 100% offline, performing all logical, mathematical, and signal processing locally on your device. We do not transmit your circuit designs, simulation data, or exam results to our servers.
Information We Collect
1. Information You Provide
User Inputs for Simulation: When you toggle inputs (0 or 1) or select different logic gates, the data is processed in real-time locally to generate the corresponding output. This information is not stored beyond your current session.
Exam & Challenge Progress: Data generated during Exam Mode (Truth Tables, Target Seeking, and Identification challenges) is processed locally to calculate your score. This data is volatile and is usually reset when the challenge ends or the app is closed.
Custom Circuit Configurations: In Multi-Stage mode, the pipeline of gates you configure is maintained in the app's active state. These configurations are stored locally on your device using localStorage to allow you to resume your work.
2. Hardware and System Access
Haptic Feedback: The App accesses the device's vibration motor to provide tactile confirmation when interacting with logic switches, enhancing the professional "laboratory" feel.
Audio Access: The App uses the Web Audio API (AudioContext) to generate local synthesized tones for feedback and error alerts.
Storage Access: The App uses local browser storage (localStorage) to maintain your preferences and session state without requiring external file system permissions.
No Camera/Microphone Usage: The App DO NOT require or use the camera or microphone. All interactions are performed via manual digital inputs.
3. Automatically Collected Information
Device and Usage Data: The App may collect non-personal information (device model, OS version) to ensure compatibility with different screen sizes and performance optimization.
Local Preferences: We use localStorage to remember your settings, such as:
Language preference (English/Spanish).
Navigation mode (Lab, Multi, Analyzer, Exam).
Active project or gate selection.
How We Use Your Information
To Provide App Functionality: To calculate logical outputs, generate timing waveforms, and validate Boolean expressions.
Smart Diagnosis: To provide local, rule-based explanations of circuit behavior through our "Smart Diagnosis" engine.
Educational Validation: To verify your answers in Exam Mode and provide instant academic feedback.
Signal Analysis: To plot real-time digital "High/Low" transitions in the Analyzer module.
Sharing of Information
Third-Party Services: The App operates independently. We do not use third-party analytics that track your personal identity.
Social Sharing API: Used only when you explicitly trigger the "Share" button to send the app link or technical screenshots via your preferred external apps.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law. However, since we do not store personal data or simulation history on our servers, our ability to provide such data to authorities is non-existent.
Data Security
Local Processing: All logical processing occurs strictly on your device.
Local Storage: Be aware that saved preferences stay on the device. If you uninstall the App or clear your app cache, this data will be permanently deleted.
Physical Security: We recommend securing your device with a PIN, pattern, or biometric lock to protect your local configurations.
Children's Privacy
The App is a tool intended for students and electronics enthusiasts. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, as the app does not feature user accounts or cloud synchronization.
Your Rights and Choices
Access and Control: You have full control over your data. You can reset your progress or change your settings directly within the App interface.
Data Deletion: Simply clearing the App data in your device settings will remove all locally stored preferences.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. The updated version will be accessible within the App settings.
