This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use, and disclosure of your information when you use the "Find My Phone: Map Tracker" application (the "App"). The App is provided as a Free, ad-supported service and is intended for use "as is".
1. Information Collection and Use
The App is designed with your privacy as a strict priority. We do not collect, transmit, store, or share any of your personal data on external servers. The App operates entirely offline using local device capabilities. However, to provide its core functionalities, the App requires access to specific device permissions:
* Location Data (Approximate and Precise): The App requires access to your device's location for two essential reasons: (1) The Android operating system requires location permissions to perform Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) scanning, and (2) to provide the "Last Known Location" feature. When the Bluetooth connection between paired devices is lost, the App saves the current GPS coordinates. This location data is saved locally on your device only. We do not transmit this data to any external server or third party. You can delete this data at any time by clearing the App's storage/cache or uninstalling the App.
* Bluetooth Permissions (Connect, Scan, Advertise): The App requires Bluetooth access to pair devices locally and send the signal to ring the misplaced phone. This connection is entirely peer-to-peer and offline.
* Notification Policy Access (Do Not Disturb): To ring a misplaced phone at maximum volume even when it is muted or on silent, the App requires access to override the "Do Not Disturb" (DND) settings. The App only changes the alarm volume (STREAM_ALARM) temporarily when the "Ring" command is triggered and does not read, access, or modify your personal notifications or messages.
2. Third-Party Services (Advertising)
While the App does not collect your personal data directly, it uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify your device for advertising purposes:
* Google AdMob: We use Google AdMob to serve ads within the App. AdMob may use advertising IDs (such as the Android Advertising ID) and cookies to serve personalized or non-personalized ads based on your interests and usage patterns. 3. Data Security
We value your trust in providing us with access to your device's capabilities. Because the App operates locally and offline, there is no risk of data breaches from our end since your data (such as the Last Known Location) never leaves your physical device. However, please remember that no method of electronic storage on a physical device is 100% secure.
4. Children’s Privacy
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
