Privacy Policy — Forex Sessions: Smart Money

Forex Sessions ("the app", "we") is built privacy-first. This policy explains
what the app does and does not do with information. In short: the app does not
collect, store, or share any personal data, and has no account or login.
1. Information we collect
None. Forex Sessions does not collect personal information. There is no
sign-up, no login, no profile, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of
any kind. We do not use third-party analytics or ad SDKs.
2. Data stored on your device
Everything you create stays on your device only and is never transmitted to us:
- Your trade journal entries, daily-bias checklists and history.
- Your Academy lesson progress (which lessons you've completed).
- Your preferences (account currency, account balance, theme, alert choices,
watchlist pairs, broker contract sizes, etc.).
This data is stored locally (Apple SwiftData / UserDefaults). It is included in
your device's encrypted backups if you use iCloud/iTunes backup, which is
controlled by you and Apple — not by us. Deleting the app permanently removes
all of this data.
3. Internet use (live prices & economic calendar)
The app is offline-first and works without a connection. When available, it makes
a small number of anonymous requests to public market-data services so the
calculators can show a live price and the News tab can show upcoming events. Each
request:
- Sends no personal data and no account — it asks only for a public value,
such as the current price of a symbol (for example "XAU" or "US30") or this
week's calendar. There is nothing identifying you in the request.
- Is used only to fill in a number on screen; live prices are kept in memory, and
the calendar is cached so it still works offline.
These are the third-party services contacted, only as needed:
- Metals & crypto prices — gold-api.com
- Forex rates — frankfurter.app / frankfurter.dev
- Index prices (US30, NAS100, SPX500, GER40) — Yahoo Finance (query1.finance.yahoo.com)
- Economic calendar — faireconomy.media / Forex Factory
As with any internet request, these hosts may record standard technical logs (such
as your IP address) under their own privacy policies; we have no access to those
logs and do not receive them. If you stay offline or don't open a screen that needs
a price or the calendar, no request is made. You can always type a price in by hand.
4. Notifications & Live Activities
If you turn on alerts, the app schedules local notifications on your device
(session open/close, Silver-bullet windows, high-impact news times). If you start
a Live Activity, the session countdown shown on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic
Island is also generated entirely on-device. We do not operate a push server,
collect a push token, or send you anything remotely.
5. Purchases
Optional "Pro" features are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions processed entirely
by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles all payment information under
Apple's Privacy Policy (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/). We never see or
store your payment details. The app only learns whether a valid subscription is
active (a yes/no entitlement from Apple).
6. Children
The app is a general-audience educational utility and is not directed at children.
Because we collect no data from anyone, no personal information from children is
collected either.
7. Your rights
Since we do not collect or hold any of your personal data, there is nothing for us
to access, correct, or delete on our side. All app data lives on your device and is
removed when you delete the app.
8. Not financial advice
Forex Sessions is an educational tool. It shows session timing, calculators, your
own logged trades, and public calendar data. It does not provide trading signals,
recommendations, or financial advice. Trading carries risk; decisions are your own.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new
"Last updated" date.
