## Overview
DynamiX Companion is an Android app used to capture and review vibration measurements from the DynamiX Link hardware sensor or from your phone's built-in accelerometer. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses, how that information is used, and how it is stored.
The app is designed for local measurement capture and analysis. It does not require sign-in, does not upload user data to Rotary Mart, and does not sell or share personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
## Information The App Accesses
### Accelerometer and vibration measurement data
If you choose phone-based capture, the app reads accelerometer data from your device. If you use DynamiX Link hardware, the app receives vibration measurement data from that device over your local Wi-Fi connection.
This data is used to display waveforms, FFT spectra, statistics, and saved measurement history inside the app.
Storage: saved only in the app's private on-device storage.
### User-entered route and measurement details
The app stores information you enter, such as company names, area names, machine names, point names, comments, notes, and measurement metadata, so you can organize and review captured measurements.

### Wi-Fi connection information
The app checks the currently connected Wi-Fi SSID, local network status, and on supported Android versions nearby Wi-Fi devices or visible networks so it can confirm that your device is connected to a DynamiX Link access point, help guide switching between DynamiX Link and a router, and communicate with the hardware on the local network.
The app does not use these permissions to determine your physical location. On Android, Wi-Fi information is treated as location-sensitive, so the app requests the permissions Android requires to show Wi-Fi names and nearby Wi-Fi details.
Storage: used locally on the device and not sent to Rotary Mart.
### Connected DynamiX Link device details
When connecting to DynamiX Link hardware, the app may read basic device details such as model, serial number, and firmware version so the app can identify the connected device.
Storage: used locally by the app for connection and display purposes and not shared with third parties.
## How Information Is Used
- To connect to DynamiX Link hardware on your local network.
- To collect, process, and display vibration measurements and FFT analysis.
- To save measurement history and the route structure you create in the app.
- To remember app preferences and analysis settings on your device.
## What The App Does Not Do
- It does not create accounts or require sign-in.
- It does not upload measurement data to Rotary Mart.
- It does not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, crash-reporting SDKs, or third-party trackers.
- It does not sell or share personal information.
- It does not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, messages, or call logs.
- It does not determine or track your physical location.
## Local Network Communication
DynamiX Companion communicates with DynamiX Link hardware over a private local Wi-Fi connection, including device-local network addresses such as `192.168.4.1` when applicable. This communication is used only to operate the hardware connection and collect measurement data. The app does not contact a Rotary Mart cloud service for normal measurement use.
## Permissions Used By The App
- `INTERNET`, `ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE`, `ACCESS_WIFI_STATE`, `CHANGE_WIFI_STATE`, `CHANGE_NETWORK_STATE`
- Used to communicate with DynamiX Link hardware on the local Wi-Fi network and detect connection state.
- `NEARBY_WIFI_DEVICES`, `ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION`
- Required by Android to read the connected Wi-Fi SSID, inspect nearby Wi-Fi details where supported, and help connect to DynamiX Link. The app does not use these permissions to determine your physical location.
- `HIGH_SAMPLING_RATE_SENSORS`
- Used to capture phone accelerometer data at sampling rates suitable for vibration analysis.
## Storage, Retention, And Deletion
Measurement files, route information, saved metadata, and app settings are stored locally in app-private storage on your device. Rotary Mart does not receive a copy of this data during normal use of the app.
Data remains on your device until you delete it inside the app or uninstall the app. Android cloud backup is disabled for this app, so app-private measurement data is not intended to be backed up through Android's automatic backup system.
## Children's Privacy
DynamiX Companion is intended for industrial, technical, and professional measurement use. It is not directed to children under 13, and Rotary Mart does not knowingly collect personal information from children through this app.
## Changes To This Policy
If this Privacy Policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be changed. The current version published at this URL is the version that applies.
