This Privacy Policy explains how Doctor Of Choice (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.
To provide a synchronized and secure educational experience, we collect the following limited personal information:
Account Information: Name and email address. We use Firebase Authentication to manage logins; we do not store or see your account passwords.
Academic Information: Your college name (to verify eligibility for our medical student community).
App Progress & Usage: We collect data on solved/unsolved MCQs and any highlighted notes within the app. This is stored via Firestore to ensure your progress is synced across your devices.
Active Session Monitoring: We store active session details in the Firebase Realtime Database to prevent simultaneous logins from multiple devices on a single account.
We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Realtime Database, and Firestore) to provide core app functionality. These services may process data on our behalf to ensure app stability and security. We do not use third-party advertising or trackers.
We retain your personal data and academic progress for a period of one year, corresponding to the standard subscription cycle of the app.
Subscription Expiry: Upon the expiration of your one-year subscription, your account will be manually deactivated.
Data Deletion: If a subscription is not renewed, all associated user data—including progress, notes, and personal identifiers—is deleted from our databases within 30 days of deactivation.
Legal Compliance: We may retain certain information for longer periods only if required by applicable Pakistani or international laws.
Users have the right to request the deletion of their account and all associated data at any time. While there is no automated "Delete" button within the app interface, we provide a direct manual deletion process:
Request Method: To request data deletion, please contact us via the official email or WhatsApp number listed in the "Contact Us" section below.
Processing Time: Once a request is verified, we will permanently delete your account and all stored data within 5-7 business days.
We value your trust in providing us your information. We use industry-standard Firebase security rules and encryption to protect your data. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
Our services are designed for medical students and are intended for individuals aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
