Welcome to Closed Test 14. Developed by Muhammad Faheem Khan ("we," "us," or "our"), Closed Test 14 is a community-driven mobile application designed to help Android developers meet the 14-day closed testing requirements for the Google Play Console.

We are deeply committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Closed Test 14 mobile application (the "App") and our related services. By accessing or using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

A. Information You Provide to Us Directly

• Account Data: When you register or sign in using Google Authentication, we collect your Name, Email Address, and Profile Picture associated with your Google account.

• User Profile Information: Any additional information you voluntarily provide to complete your profile, such as a custom display name.

• App Details (For Developers): If you submit an app for testing, we collect data related to your application, including the App Name, App Icon, Cover Image, Package Name, Google Play Store URL, and testing instructions.

B. User-Generated Content (UGC)

• Testing Proof (Screenshots): As a tester, you are required to upload daily screenshots to verify your active participation in a 14-day test. These images are securely stored and strictly shared only with the developer of the specific app you are testing.

C. Information Collected Automatically

• Device Specifications: To assist developers in verifying that their app is being tested on a diverse range of real devices (as required by Google Play), we automatically log your Device Manufacturer, Device Model, Android OS Version, and API Level (e.g., "Samsung SM-G991B | Android 13").

• Usage and Interaction Logs: We track your in-app activity, including your virtual "Diamond" balance, apps you have opted to test, apps you have published for testing, and the timestamps of your screenshot submissions.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process your data to operate the App effectively and foster a trustworthy "test-for-test" environment. Specifically, we use your information to:

• Provide and Maintain the Service: To create and manage your account, facilitate the exchange of testing duties, and operate the virtual "Diamond" economy.

• Facilitate Developer Verification: To provide app developers with the necessary device data and screenshot proof to verify that authentic, daily testing is occurring.

• Community Transparency: To display limited, non-sensitive progress data (such as User Display Names and basic device info) on community leaderboards or app progress trackers. Note: Private screenshots are never made visible to the general public.

• Customer Support: To respond to your technical inquiries, troubleshoot bugs, and improve the user experience.

• Security: To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, spam, or fraudulent activity within the community.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Because Closed Test 14 is a collaborative platform, certain data must be shared between users to function properly. We share your information in the following ways:

• Between Testers and Developers: When you opt-in to test a developer's app, that developer will have access to your Display Name, Device Model/OS, and the daily screenshots you upload for their specific app.

• With the General Community: App listings submitted for testing (App Name, Icon, Description) are visible to all registered users of the App.

• With Third-Party Service Providers: We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data. We only share data with trusted third-party infrastructure providers necessary to run the App:

  • Google Firebase: Used for secure User Authentication, Firestore (database hosting), and Cloud Storage (securely hosting user profile images and uploaded screenshots).

  • Google Play Services: Used for app distribution and secure Google Sign-In protocols.

• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, backed by Google Firebase's infrastructure, to protect your personal information during transit and at rest. Data transferred between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. However, please understand that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention and Your Deletion Rights

Data Retention: We retain your account data, device logs, and testing history for as long as your account is active and necessary to provide the service.

Your Right to Delete Data: You have full control over your data. You may request the complete deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time.

• In-App Deletion: You can delete your account directly within the App by navigating to Settings > Account > Delete Account.

• Email Request: Alternatively, you can request data deletion by emailing us at the address provided below.

Upon account deletion, your personal profile, email, and associated device logs will be permanently removed from our active databases.

6. Children’s Privacy

Closed Test 14 is designed for professional Android developers and enthusiasts. Our services are restricted to individuals who are 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take immediate steps to delete that information from our servers.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, via an in-app notification.
