Introduction of the IOS App - Camellia Flashcard

The IOS App - Camellia Flashcard is designed to provide facility for students to create flash cards for learning. As various groups of students need to memorise vast amount of knowledge, using flash cards will help students on the study and revision. The flash card feature in this IOS App supports various types of flash cards, including simple question and answer flash cards, multiple choices question and answers, images, hand writing, fill in blanks, etc. and students can base on their needs to create different types of flash cards for their study.

This document will describe the privacy policy to the users of this application.

Devices for the Camellia Flashcard IOS App

The Camellia Flashcard IOS App will only be available in IOS iPhone and iPAD which supports IOS version 17.0 and above. 

Authentication

The Camellia Flashcard IOS App will be integrated with iPhone Face ID and iPAD Biometrics authentication. In case the Face ID or Biometrics authentication fails, the application will prompt the user to key in passcode. However, this application does not collect any authentication information such as passcode. 

Data Storage

The Camellia Flashcard IOS App stores the data in the user's iPhone's local storage or iPAD's local storage and the user's iCloud storage if the user had subcribed iCloud storage. User can use iPhone and iPad to access the data and the data in iCloud will be synchronised with the iPhone or iPad's local storage as long as the user is using the same Apple ID to access the iPhone, iPad and iCloud. The data is protected by the user's App ID.

Data Collection

The Camellia Flashcard IOS App does not collect any user's personal information. All the data user keyed in or input will be stored in user's iPhone or iPad and iCloud. 

Use of Camera

The Camellia Flashcard IOS App will require user to allow access the iPhone or iPad's Camera as the app needs to use Camera for Optical Character Recognition (OCR) as an input method to scan text from image of web. However, all the data captured by the Camera will not be transmitted out of the user's device and iCloud account.
