Privacy Policy — Farm Worker Control

This Privacy Policy explains how Farm Worker Control ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use the application on your mobile device. Please read this policy carefully before using the App.
1. Information We Collect
Farm Worker Control is designed to work fully offline. All data you enter is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to any external server. Data stored locally includes:
Worker names, phone numbers, addresses, photos, roles, and wage information
Work shift schedules and shift assignments
Attendance records per shift
Work orders and task details
Leave requests and approval records
Announcement content
Expense records and categories
App settings and language preferences
We do not require you to create an account and we do not collect any data from you directly.
2. Photos and Camera
When you add a photo for a worker profile, the App requests permission to access your device camera or photo library. Photos are saved in the App's private local storage on your device. Photos are never uploaded to the internet or shared with any third party without your explicit action (e.g., using the backup feature).
3. Advertising
The App displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Google AdMob may collect certain device data to serve relevant advertisements, including:
Device advertising ID
IP address
General location information
App usage data
This data is collected and processed by Google under their own Privacy Policy. You can review it at: https://policies.google.com/privacy
To opt out of personalized ads, go to your device Settings > Google > Ads and enable "Opt out of Ads Personalization."
4. Data Storage and Retention
All app data — worker profiles, shift schedules, attendance records, work orders, leave requests, announcements, and expenses — is stored exclusively in a local SQLite database on your device. We do not have access to this data at any time.
Retention period: Your data remains on your device for as long as you use the App. Data is not automatically deleted or expired. You control how long your data is kept.
5. How to Delete Your Data
You have full control over your data at all times. You may delete data in the following ways:
Delete individual records: Within any section of the App (Workers, Shifts, Tasks, Expenses, Leave, Announcements), open a record and use the Delete option to remove it permanently.
Delete worker photos: Photos are stored in the App's private storage. They are removed automatically when the App is uninstalled.
Delete all data: Uninstalling the App from your device permanently removes all locally stored data, including the database and all saved photos. No data remains after uninstallation because we do not store copies on external servers.
Before uninstalling: You may use the Backup feature (Settings > Backup Data) to export a ZIP file of all your data to your device storage before deleting the App.
Because we hold no copies of your data on our end, no additional deletion request to us is required. Uninstalling the App is sufficient to erase all your data.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties, with the following exceptions:
Google AdMob — collects advertising-related data as described in Section 3.
LINE (optional) — the App provides a button to share PDF schedules and announcement text via the LINE messaging app installed on your device. Sharing is handled entirely by your device's share mechanism. We do not interact with LINE's servers directly. LINE's own privacy policy applies when you use that feature.
7. Internet Access
The App requests internet permission solely to display Google AdMob advertisements. All core features (workers, schedules, attendance, tasks, expenses, reports, backup/restore) work fully offline without any internet connection.
8. Children's Privacy
Farm Worker Control is intended for use by adults, specifically farm owners, supervisors, and agricultural managers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this App, please contact us so we can address the concern.
9. Security
All data is stored locally on your device. The security of your data depends on your device's own security settings such as screen lock, encryption, and access controls. We recommend keeping your device protected and using the built-in Backup feature regularly to preserve a copy of your data.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or applicable law. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
