1. Introduction
EasyKwarta Tool is a loan calculation and comparison tool for users in the Philippines. It helps you estimate the true cost of a loan — amortization schedules, total interest, prepayment savings, debt-payoff strategies, and side-by-side plan comparison.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, where it is stored, and the choices you have. By using the App you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
We designed EasyKwarta Tool to keep your financial calculations on your device. We do not require an account to use the core calculator features.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide
Phone number — only if you choose to sign in. Used to send a one-time verification code (OTP) and to identify your account. We do not read, send, or store your SMS messages; we only process the number you type in.
Loan and debt inputs — amounts, terms, interest rates, plan names, and debt balances you enter. These are stored locally on your device (see Section 4).
Photos / camera captures — if you choose to attach a photo (e.g. a loan document or rate sheet) to a plan. Photos are saved only on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.
2.2 Information collected automatically
Device and app information — device identifier, app version, operating system, and platform type. Used for analytics, fraud prevention, and crash diagnosis.
Advertising identifier (IDFA) — only if you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. Used to measure advertising effectiveness. If you decline, the App continues to work fully and no IDFA is collected.
Usage and event data — anonymous events such as "app opened" or "feature used", associated with a device identifier and (if signed in) a member ID. Used to understand feature usage and improve the App.
2.3 Third-party SDKs
We use the following services that may process device-level data for attribution and analytics:
Adjust — marketing attribution and event analytics.
Meta (Facebook) App Events — advertising measurement and attribution.
These SDKs may process your device identifier and advertising identifier (subject to your ATT choice) to attribute installs and measure campaigns. Each operates under its own privacy policy.
3. What We Do NOT Collect
We do not read, upload, or store your SMS messages or inbox.
We do not collect your real bank account numbers or banking credentials.
We do not access your contacts, microphone, or precise location.
We do not upload your loan documents, photos, or plan data to our servers.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. How Your Data Is Stored
Local storage — your loan plans, debts, and photo attachments are stored locally in an encrypted database (SQLCipher) on your device. They are not synced to our servers in this version.
Backups — you may manually export a JSON backup file and save it via the system share sheet (Files, iCloud Drive, email, AirDrop). You control where that file goes. Importing a backup overwrites your current local data.
Account data — if you sign in, your phone number and member identifier are processed by our backend solely to maintain your session.
5. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Provide loan calculation, comparison, and reminder features.
Authenticate you when you sign in.
Measure advertising performance and attribute installs (subject to ATT consent).
Diagnose crashes, prevent fraud, and improve performance and features.
Comply with legal obligations.
We process personal data on the legal bases of your consent (e.g. ATT, sign-in), our legitimate interest in operating and improving the App, and compliance with applicable law.
6. Sharing and Disclosure
We share information only:
With service providers (Adjust, Meta) that perform analytics and attribution on our behalf.
For legal reasons — when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
In a business transfer — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, data may be transferred subject to this policy.
We do not sell personal information to third parties.
7. Camera and Photos
The App requests camera access only when you choose to take a photo to attach to a loan plan. These photos are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers. You can delete an attachment at any time, and uninstalling the App removes all locally stored photos. The App does not request access to your photo library.
8. App Tracking Transparency (IDFA)
On first launch, iOS may show a tracking permission prompt. If you allow tracking, we may use your advertising identifier (IDFA) for attribution and ad measurement through Adjust and Meta. If you decline, no IDFA is used and all App features remain available. You can change this choice anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
9. Data Retention
Local data (plans, debts, photos) remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
Account and event data retained on our backend is kept only as long as necessary for the purposes described here, or as required by law, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012, Republic Act No. 10173), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@ezpeso.app. You may also delete your local data directly by removing plans or uninstalling the App.
11. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Security
We use industry-standard measures, including on-device encryption (SQLCipher) for your local data and encrypted transport (HTTPS) for network requests. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
13. International Users
Our service providers may process data outside your country of residence. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
