Privacy Policy for Doc2Contact

Last updated: 8/11/2026

Doc2Contact ("the App," "we," "our") is developed by sagar soneji. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and your choices regarding that information.

What the App Does

Doc2Contact lets you extract contact names and phone numbers from photos, PDFs, Excel files, and Word documents, review and edit the extracted information, and save it directly to your device's native Contacts app.

Information We Access

How Images Are Processed

When you scan a document, the photo is sent securely to our processing server (hosted on Cloudflare) which forwards it to Google's Gemini API (and, as a backup, OCR.space) to extract text. This is done solely to identify names and phone numbers within the image. Processed images are not stored, retained, or used for any purpose beyond this one-time extraction. We do not build a database of your scanned documents.

Information We Do NOT Collect

Advertising

The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob to support free usage. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads, in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. You can learn more about how Google uses this data at the link above.

In-App Purchases

The App offers an optional one-time purchase to remove ads and unlock unlimited scans. Payments are processed entirely by Google Play; we do not receive or store your payment information.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information transmitted through the App, including secure (HTTPS) connections between the App and our processing server.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
