Clip Notes ("the app") is a simple offline notes and clipboard manager that lets you save text and copy it with one tap. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.
Information we collect
None. Clip Notes does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. We have no servers and no account system.
Where your data is stored
Everything you type into the app (your notes, categories, and settings) is stored only on your own device, in the app's private storage. It never leaves your phone through the app. If you uninstall the app, this data is removed.
Backup and restore
You can choose to save a backup copy of your notes to your own Google Drive or phone storage. This only happens when you tap Back up, and the file goes to a location you choose in your own account. The developer has no access to it.
Permissions
The app does not access your contacts, location, camera, or microphone. It uses the system clipboard when you tap Copy, shows notifications for reminders you set, and can use your device fingerprint to unlock locked notes (checked on your device only).
Ads and analytics
The app contains no advertisements and no third-party analytics or tracking.
Children
The app is safe for all ages and does not knowingly collect any data from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new "Last updated" date.
