# Privacy Policy — Cat Translator

This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application **Cat Translator** ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use it on your iOS device.

By downloading or using the App you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

## 1. Summary
- We do **not** ask you to create an account, and we never ask for your name, email address, phone number or postal address.
- Everything you create inside the App — your cat's profile and name, chat history, voice recordings, photos, mood logs and care records — is stored **only on your device** and is never uploaded to us.
- We do use third-party services for **advertising, analytics, crash reporting and subscription management**. Those services collect technical identifiers and usage data, and some of that data is used to show you personalised ads.
- You can turn off personalised advertising at any time (see section 7).

## 2. Information stored only on your device
The following is created by you inside the App and stays on your iPhone or iPad. It is not transmitted to us or to any third party, and it is deleted when you delete the App:
- Cat profiles: cat name, age, breed, personality traits and goals you select
- Chat messages and "translations" in the App
- Voice recordings of your cat that you make with the in-app recorder
- Photos and camera images you use for breed, mood or scanning features
- Mood logs, care activities, streaks and daily progress
- Weight, water, meal, medication, vaccine and checklist records
- Your language choice and app settings
**Photos and camera:** image analysis is performed entirely on your device using Apple's on-device Vision framework. Your photos and camera frames are never uploaded to a server.
**Microphone:** recordings are saved to the App's private storage on your device. They are never uploaded, and no audio is sent to us or to any third party.

## 3. Information collected by us and our partners
We and our third-party partners collect the following categories of data. This matches the App Privacy information shown on our App Store product page.

## 5. Advertising and tracking
The App is free and supported by advertising. Our advertising partners may use your device identifier and usage data to build a profile of your interests and to show you ads that are relevant to you, including across other apps and websites owned by other companies. This is what Apple calls **tracking**.
Before any tracking takes place, iOS shows you Apple's **App Tracking Transparency** prompt asking for your permission.
- If you choose **"Ask App Not to Track"**, your advertising identifier is not shared and you will see non-personalised ads.
- If you choose **"Allow"**, our partners may use your identifier for personalised advertising and campaign measurement.
You can change your mind at any time in **Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking** on your device.

## 6. Users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland
If you are located in these regions, the App shows a consent form provided by **Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP)** before ads are loaded, in line with the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive. You can accept or refuse personalised advertising there. If you refuse, you will still be able to use the whole App and will see non-personalised ads instead.
**Legal bases we rely on:**
- *Consent* — for personalised advertising and for analytics where consent is required
- *Legitimate interests* — for crash reporting, security and fraud prevention, and for basic non-personalised advertising that keeps the App free
- *Performance of a contract* — for managing your subscription and premium entitlement
**Your rights.** You have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Because we do not hold an account for you, please include your device's advertising identifier (Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking) so we can pass your request to the relevant partner.

## 7. Users in California and other US states
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, sharing device identifiers with advertising partners for personalised advertising may be treated as a "sale" or "sharing" under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar state laws.
To opt out, use **"Ask App Not to Track"** on the App Tracking Transparency prompt, or turn tracking off in **Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking**. California residents also have the right to know, delete and correct their personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. ## 8. Purchases and subscriptions
Premium subscriptions are sold through the **Apple App Store**. Payment is handled entirely by Apple — we never see or store your payment card, bank details or Apple ID password.
We use **RevenueCat** to validate your App Store receipt and to tell the App whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives the transaction identifier, product identifier, price, currency and an anonymous device-level identifier. Subscription status is also shared with our analytics and advertising partners as a purchase event, so we can measure which campaigns work.
Premium only removes advertisements and rewarded-ad gates. No content in the App is locked behind a purchase.

## 9. Notifications
If you allow notifications, the App schedules **local** reminders on your device — daily care reminders, vaccine due dates and occasional tips. These are generated on your device; we do not operate a push server and we do not collect a push token. You can turn them off at any time in **Settings → Notifications → Cat Translator**.

## 10. Children
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact **ahmadjawad0061@gmail.com** and we will act on it.

## 11. Data retention
Data stored on your device remains until you delete it in the App or delete the App itself. Data held by our third-party partners is retained according to their own policies — typically between 2 and 26 months for analytics and advertising data, and up to 90 days for crash reports.

## 12. International data transfers
Our partners are based in, and process data in, countries including the United States and the European Union. Where data is transferred out of the EEA or UK, those transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

## 13. Security
We rely on Apple's iOS sandbox to protect the data stored on your device, and all communication between the App and our partners' servers uses encrypted HTTPS connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. Significant changes will be announced inside the App.
