Privacy Policy — Cat Sound

Cat Sound ("the app", "we") is a cat translator and cat-care app for iOS. This policy explains what information the app handles. The short version: everything stays on your device. We collect nothing.
1. Data we collect
None. Cat Sound has no user accounts, no sign-in, no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs and no trackers. The app does not transmit your personal information, recordings, photos or usage data to us or to any third party.
2. Information stored on your device
To make the app work, the following is saved locally in the app's private storage on your device only:
- Cat profiles — names, ages, breeds and personality traits you enter.
- Chat and translation history — messages and playful translations shown in the app.
- Voice recordings — meow recordings you make, stored in the app's documents folder.
- Care data — mood logs, weight, water, medication, vaccine and checklist entries you add.
This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
3. Microphone, camera and photos
The app asks iOS permission before using the microphone (to record meows), the camera (to scan your cat) and your photo library (to pick cat photos). All audio and image processing happens on-device using Apple's built-in frameworks (such as Vision). Recordings and photos are never uploaded anywhere.
4. Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app schedules local reminders (for example daily care reminders or vaccine due dates) directly on your device. No push-notification server is involved.
5. Third parties
The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising or data-collection services. Purchases, if offered in the future, would be handled entirely by Apple through the App Store.
6. Children's privacy
Cat Sound does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. The app is suitable for general audiences.
7. Deleting your data
You are in full control: delete individual recordings inside the app, reset or remove cat profiles in Settings, or simply delete the app — deleting the app permanently removes all of its data from your device.
8. Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the effective date above before the change takes effect.
