5. Children and young athletes
Many of our services are intended for children and young athletes. We therefore apply additional care when processing data relating to minors.
Where the athlete is under the age of 18, we normally require the involvement of a parent or legal guardian for registration, consultation, consent, programme participation, payment and communication.
Parents and legal guardians are responsible for providing accurate information and for informing us of any relevant health, welfare, safety or safeguarding issue that may affect participation.
We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children without appropriate parental or guardian involvement where this is required by law or appropriate for the service.
Where we use photographs, videos or media content featuring minors for public communication, marketing or promotional purposes, we will request separate consent from the parent or legal guardian, unless another lawful basis applies and the use is legally permitted.
