**Effective date:** 15 June 2026
**App:** Baca QR & Buat QR (`com.herysgroup.qrcode`)
**Developer:** Herys Group
**Contact:** dayatznur@gmail.com
Herys Group ("we", "us") built the **Baca QR & Buat QR** app. This Privacy Policy
explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and the choices you
have. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.
We designed the app to be **privacy-friendly**: scanning and QR-code generation
happen **on your device**, and your scan/creation history is stored **locally**.
---
## 1. Information the app accesses
### a. Camera
The app uses your device camera **only** to scan QR codes and barcodes in real
time. Camera frames are processed on-device to decode codes. We do **not** record,
upload, or store camera video or photos on any server.
### b. Photos / images you choose
When you scan a code from an existing image, the app reads **only** the image you
select in order to decode it. When you save a generated QR code, the image is
written to your device storage. These images are not transmitted to us.
### c. Scan & creation history (stored locally)
Codes you scan or create are saved in a local database on your device so you can
revisit them in the **History** screen. This data **stays on your device** and is
removed when you delete an item or uninstall the app. We do not have access to it.
### d. Diagnostics & configuration (Google Firebase)
The app uses Google Firebase for:
- **Firebase Analytics** — anonymous, aggregated usage and stability data to help
us improve the app (e.g., which features are used, crashes).
- **Firebase Remote Config** — to adjust non-personal app settings remotely.
Firebase may process device-level identifiers and technical data as described in
Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
### e. Advertising (Google AdMob)
This build ships with advertising **turned OFF**. The advertising components are
included so ads can be enabled in a future update. **If and when ads are enabled**,
Google AdMob may collect and use an advertising identifier and related data to
serve and measure ads, in accordance with Google's policies
(https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads). You can reset or limit your
Advertising ID in your device settings. We will keep this policy updated to reflect
the actual ad status of the published version.
### f. In-app purchases (Google Play Billing)
The app may offer an optional subscription (for example, to remove ads or unlock
unlimited features). Purchases are processed by **Google Play Billing**. We do not
receive or store your payment card details; Google handles payment processing.
---
## 2. Permissions used
| Permission | Why it is used |
|------------|----------------|
| Camera | Scan QR codes and barcodes |
| Read images / media | Scan a code from an image you choose |
| Write/save images | Save a generated QR code to your device |
| Internet & network state | Load remote config, ads (when enabled), and updates |
| Post notifications | Show app/update notifications |
| Advertising ID | Used by ads when advertising is enabled |
| Billing | Process optional in-app subscriptions |
The app requests a permission only when the related feature needs it.
---
## 3. How we use information
We use the limited information above to:
- Provide core features (scanning, generating, and saving codes).
- Maintain your on-device history.
- Understand aggregate usage and fix crashes to improve the app.
- Process optional subscriptions and, if enabled in the future, show ads.
## 4. Data sharing
We do **not sell** your personal information. Information is only processed by the
third-party services the app relies on — **Google Firebase**, **Google AdMob**
(when ads are enabled), and **Google Play Billing** — each under its own privacy
policy. We may disclose information if required by law.
## 5. Data retention
Your scan/creation history and saved images remain on your device until you delete
them or uninstall the app. Analytics data is retained by Google per its retention
settings.
## 6. Children's privacy
The app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal
information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information,
contact us and we will address it.
## 7. Security
Your code history is stored locally on your device. We rely on your device's
operating system protections and the security of the third-party SDKs listed above.
No method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
## 8. Your choices
- Delete history items at any time from within the app.
- Reset or limit your Advertising ID in device settings.
- Revoke the camera or storage permission in your device settings (some features
will then be unavailable).
- Uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data.
## 9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted with an
updated "Effective date". Continued use of the app after changes means you accept
the revised policy.
