This policy explains what Auto AI Caption and Subtitle ("the app")
collects, why, and what we do with it.

THE SHORT VERSION

Your video file is never uploaded. The app extracts the audio
track on your device and sends only that audio for transcription.
Editing, preview and export happen entirely on your phone.
We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not ask you
to create an account.

WHAT WE COLLECT AND WHY
----------------------------------------------------------------
1. AUDIO EXTRACTED FROM YOUR VIDEO
When you generate captions, the app extracts the audio from the
video you selected, converts it to a compressed mono audio file on
your device, and uploads that file to our transcription service.
Your video is never uploaded. Only the audio is.
The audio is processed by Deepgram, our speech-to-text provider,
to produce the caption text and word timings. It passes through
our server on Cloudflare.
Retention: the resulting caption text is cached for up to 30 days
so that repeating the same transcription does not consume your
monthly allowance again. The cache is keyed to a one-way hash of
the audio, and is scoped to your subscription. After 30 days it is
deleted automatically.
2. SUBSCRIPTION INFORMATION
Subscriptions are sold through Google Play and managed using
RevenueCat.
We receive an anonymous identifier, which subscription you bought,
whether it is active, and its renewal or expiry date. We do not
receive your name, email address, or payment details. Google Play
handles payment and never shares your card information with us.
We use this to verify that an active subscription exists before
allowing transcription, and to track your remaining monthly
allowance. The allowance is stored against a one-way hash of the
purchase, not against your identity.
3. APP ANALYTICS AND CRASH REPORTS
We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand
which features are used and to diagnose crashes.
This includes device model, operating system version, app version,
general region, and in-app events such as which caption style was
chosen or whether an export succeeded.
We never log your video, your audio, your caption text, or the
content of anything you create.
4. WHAT STAYS ONLY ON YOUR DEVICE
• Your videos
• Your projects and drafts
• Your saved caption styles
• Exported videos
• Your app preferences
None of this is uploaded, backed up to our servers, or visible to
us. Deleting the app removes it.

PERMISSIONS

Photos and videos — to let you choose a video to caption, and to
save the finished video back to your gallery. Used only when you
pick or save a file.
Internet — to transcribe audio and to verify your subscription.

YOUR RIGHTS

You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask for it to be
deleted, or ask us to stop processing it. Write to
flutaxworks@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Because we do not hold accounts, the practical way to remove
everything we hold is to email us and to uninstall the app. The
transcription cache expires on its own within 30 days.
To cancel a subscription, use Google Play. Cancelling stops future
charges; refunds are handled by Google under their refund policy.
If you are in the EEA or the UK, our legal basis for processing is
performance of a contract (transcribing the audio you asked us to
transcribe, and verifying your subscription) and legitimate
interest (diagnosing crashes and improving the app).

CHILDREN

This app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not
knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has used
the app and provided data, email us and we will delete it.

SECURITY

All data in transit is encrypted with HTTPS. Access to the
transcription service requires a short-lived token issued only
against an active subscription.
No system is perfectly secure, but we hold very little: no
accounts, no passwords, no payment details, and no video.

CHANGES
----------------------------------------------------------------
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the
top and note the change in the app's release notes. Continuing to
use the app after a change means you accept it.
