Privacy Policy

Welcome to Sloka Teacher for Kids (the "App"), developed by CS Wellness. The App is designed for children and families to learn, practice, and get parent-approved certificates for Sanskrit slokas. This Privacy Policy explains what information is used, how it is stored, and how parents can contact us.

1. Child Privacy

We design the App to support child privacy and family use. Parents or guardians should review Google Sign-In, purchases, photos, recordings, and certificate features before children use them. We do not sell personal information.

2. Information We Collect or Store

Guest Mode: Progress, stars, streaks, quiz results, activity history, selected language/script, chanting recordings, child photos, and child names are stored locally on the device.
Google Sign-In Mode: If a parent chooses Google Sign-In, we use the Google account email, display name, and Firebase user id to authenticate the account and sync progress. Synced data can include progress, stars, streaks, quiz results, selected language/script, activity timestamps, purchase unlock state, parent approval status, and certificate metadata.
Child Photos: Parents may add a child photo and name for certificates. These photos are stored locally on the device and used to generate certificates.
Voice Recordings: The App lets children record chanting for parent review and certification. Voice recordings are stored locally on the device. We do not upload voice recordings to our servers.
Purchases: One-time in-app purchases are processed by Google Play Billing and RevenueCat. We use purchase/access status to unlock content and remove ads. We do not collect or store credit card or payment details.
Advertising: Free users may see ads. Google Mobile Ads may use device identifiers such as Android Advertising ID for non-personalized ad delivery, fraud prevention, and related service functions.

3. How We Use Information

To provide sloka learning, playback, quiz, practice, parent approval, and certificate features.
To save and restore progress across devices when Google Sign-In is used.
To verify one-time purchases and restore access through Google Play Billing and RevenueCat.
To show family-safe, non-personalized ads to free users.
To respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests.

4. Ads and Third-Party Services

We request family-safe, non-personalized Google Mobile Ads, mark ad requests as child-directed/under age of consent where supported, and set the maximum ad content rating to General Audiences. Any in-app purchase removes ads permanently.

We use the following service providers only as needed to operate the App:

Firebase / Google Sign-In: authentication and secure cloud sync for signed-in users.
Google Play Billing: one-time in-app purchase processing.
RevenueCat: purchase validation, entitlement checks, and restore purchases.
Google Mobile Ads: family-safe, non-personalized ads for free users.

5. Permissions

Microphone: Used only to record chanting practice and certification submissions on the device.
Camera/Photos: Used only when a parent adds a child photo for certificates.
Android Advertising ID: May be used by Google Mobile Ads for non-personalized ad delivery and service/fraud-prevention functions.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent personal information. We share limited information only with the service providers listed above to operate authentication, cloud sync, purchases, and ads.

7. Security and Retention

Synced data is transmitted using secure platform connections and stored through Firebase. Local photos and voice recordings remain on the device and may be deleted if the App is uninstalled or device data is cleared. Synced progress and certificate metadata are retained while the account is active or until a parent requests deletion.

8. Data Deletion

Parents may request deletion of synced account data by emailing us from the parent account email. Local recordings and photos can also be removed by deleting certificates/photos in the App, resetting progress, clearing app data, or uninstalling the App.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Privacy Policy on this page and update the "Last Updated" date.
