ShieldCore operates on a 100% On-Device Protection Model. All antivirus scanning, file inspections, app locking, and phishing threat heuristics are processed strictly on your local device. We do not collect, transmit, store, sell, or monetize your personal files, browsing history, or private data.

## 2. Information We Access and How It Is Used
ShieldCore accesses only the system capabilities strictly necessary to perform user-requested security and maintenance features:
- Installed Applications (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES): Accessed locally to scan APK files for known malware signatures, Trojans, and security vulnerabilities, and to populate your App Locker list. Application lists are processed on-device and never uploaded to remote servers.
- Storage & Files (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Accessed solely to scan downloads and local storage for malicious files, and to identify temporary cache files during cleaner routines. No user documents, photos, or media are read or transmitted.
- Network State (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_WIFI_STATE): Used to evaluate local Wi-Fi encryption security, detect open/insecure networks, and verify DNS integrity. ShieldCore does not monitor or intercept user traffic.
- Biometrics & PIN Authentication (USE_BIOMETRIC): Used exclusively to authenticate user access to apps protected by ShieldCore App Locker. Cryptographic keys and PIN hashes are salted and stored securely on the local device keystore.
- Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to deliver real-time alerts when a high-risk security threat, fraudulent SMS, or malware APK is detected.

## 3. AccessibilityService API Policy Compliance & Prominent Disclosure
ShieldCore utilizes Android's Accessibility API (AccessibilityService) strictly to deliver three user-requested core security features:
1. Privacy App Locker: Detects when a user launches a locked application so ShieldCore can present a secure biometric or PIN authentication screen before granting access.
2. Real-Time Phishing & Threat Shield: Inspects URL address bars in supported web browsers in real time to alert users before they open known fraudulent, phishing, or financial scam websites.
3. Automated Cache Cleanup Assistance: Assists the user in automating repetitive system cache clearance via device settings when an optimization scan is initiated.
### Privacy Safeguards for Accessibility:
- ShieldCore DOES NOT log keystrokes, read text typed in input fields, or access personal messages.
- ShieldCore NEVER accesses or inspects password fields (isPassword == true).
- No data accessed through the Accessibility API is collected, stored, or transmitted over the network. All evaluations are performed 100% in local device memory.

- Zero Ad Networks: ShieldCore contains no third-party advertising SDKs and does not display behavioral ads.

Because ShieldCore does not store user data on remote cloud servers, all scan histories, locked app preferences, and local logs reside exclusively on your physical device. You can permanently delete all associated data at any time by clearing app data in Android Settings > Apps > ShieldCore > Storage > Clear Data or by uninstalling the application.
