Privacy Policy for QuickDial for WA
Last updated: April 24, 2026
QuickDial for WA is an Android app with two on-device shortcuts:
It can show a floating call shortcut inside a personal WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business chat, allowing you to open the phone dialer for that person.
It can show a floating WhatsApp shortcut during a phone call, or shortly after a call ends, allowing you to open WhatsApp for that same person.
QuickDial is designed to work entirely on-device and only opens system apps after you tap a shortcut.
What QuickDial Accesses
Accessibility Access
QuickDial uses Android Accessibility only for the WhatsApp chat shortcut.
It checks the visible top bar and message composer area inside WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business to:
Detect whether a personal chat is open
Read the visible chat title displayed there
QuickDial does not use Accessibility to:
Take screenshots
Record the screen
Send messages
Tap buttons automatically
Perform actions inside WhatsApp
Contacts
QuickDial reads contact names and phone numbers stored on your device to:
Match a WhatsApp chat title to a saved phone number
Match a visible caller name from an active phone call notification to the correct WhatsApp contact
Display Over Other Apps
QuickDial uses Android’s "display over other apps" permission to show floating shortcuts:
On top of WhatsApp chats
On top of the phone app during or shortly after a call
Notification Access
QuickDial uses notification access only for the phone call shortcut.
When a phone call notification is active, QuickDial reads the visible caller name or phone number to:
Offer a WhatsApp shortcut for that person during the call
Keep the shortcut available briefly after the call ends
