The "PDF Toolkit" Application (the "App") is designed to protect your privacy by minimizing data collection and maximizing local processing. Here’s what you need to know:
1. What We DO NOT Collect
We are committed to never collecting the following:
Your documents or PDF files
Your photos or scanned images
Text generated from OCR (Optical Character Recognition)
Personal Identifiable Information (PII) such as your name, email address, or phone number
Location data
Browsing history or usage outside of the App
2. What We MAY Collect (Anonymous Data)
To maintain and improve the App's functionality and compatibility, we may collect the following anonymous, non-personal data:
Anonymous App usage statistics (e.g., how often certain features are used)
Crash reports (to identify and fix software bugs)
Device type and Operating System (OS) Version (for compatibility and optimization purposes)
Note: All data we collect is aggregated and anonymous. It is not tied to your personal identity.
3. How Your Data is Processed (Local Processing)
All core functions of the App are performed locally on your device. This includes:
Document scanning and image capture
OCR text recognition
PDF creation, merging, and editing
File storage and management
We never upload your documents or content to our servers or any third-party servers unless explicitly initiated by you (e.g., sharing a file).
4. Permissions We Need
The App requires access to the following system features to function properly. You can manage these permissions at any time through your device's System Settings:
Camera: Required to scan physical documents and take photos within the App.
Storage / Media Files (Photo Library/Files): Required to allow you to select existing images for PDF conversion and to save the resulting PDF files to your device storage
