Hello PDF is built to function primarily as a local, lightweight utility application. However, to provide our premium subscription features and ensure application stability, we interact with specific data types:
Data Type: PDF files, document titles, and metadata.
How We Handle It: Hello PDF utilizes Android’s Scoped Storage and Storage Access Framework (SAF) to allow you to open, view, edit, and organize documents. All rendering, text parsing, and file modifications are processed locally on your physical device. We do not upload, store, or transmit your PDF files or their content to any external servers.
Data Type: Purchase history, transaction IDs, and subscription state (e.g., Premium status).
How We Handle It: When you purchase our monthly premium tier (Rs. 79) or our yearly premium tier (Rs. 599), the financial transaction is securely processed directly by the Google Play Billing Library. Hello PDF does not collect, see, or store your credit card details or bank account numbers. We only retain an anonymized digital token or boolean state flag (isPremiumUser) to unlock your unlimited tools and hide advertisements.
Data Type: Crash logs and basic performance diagnostics.
How We Handle It: To maintain stability, we may use localized crash logging toolsets (such as Firebase Crashlytics) to capture device structural errors during heavy PDF tasks. This operational data is entirely anonymous and contains no personal identity data or document contents.
To function properly under modern Android framework protocols, Hello PDF will request the following runtime permissions:
Storage Access / Document Picker via SAF: Used explicitly to allow you to locate and open offline PDF documents from your device's filesystem.
Internet Permission: Required strictly to query active local pricing models via the Google Play Store network and validate premium purchase lifecycles.
We do not sell, rent, or trade any personal data or documents to third parties. Data interaction is strictly limited to the following Google Play sub-processors to facilitate core application operations:
Google Play Billing API: Manages secure monetization pipelines, subscription tracking, and checkout transactions.
Google Play Pre-Launch / Crash Services: Evaluates technical stability metrics across varied Android ecosystem configurations.
All third-party interactions are fully encrypted in transit using secure HTTPS cryptography.
Because your PDF files remain local, we do not store them, meaning we have no access to delete them from our end. For subscription records managed via your Google Account, you can control, view, or cancel active tiers directly within your personal Google Play Console subscription management dashboard.
