Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using Gapday: State & Country Tracker.
xSoft Global built Gapday: State & Country Tracker as a mobile application for iOS. This SERVICE is provided by xSoft Global and is intended for use as is. The app is free to download and offers paid subscription plans that unlock additional features.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies on the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decides to use our Service.
If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
Information Collection and Use
We do not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide your name, email address, or phone number to use Gapday: State & Country Tracker.
The information you build inside the app — the days you have recorded, the state or country associated with each day, and any entries you add or edit by hand — is stored only in local storage on your device. We do not upload, transmit, or store this information on our servers.
The app does use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. Link to the privacy policy of third-party service providers used by the app:
Apple App Store and StoreKit — https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
Google Analytics for Firebase — https://firebase.google.com/policies/analytics
Firebase Crashlytics — https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy/
Gapday: State & Country Tracker asks for permission to access your photo library. This is the core function of the app and we want to be completely clear about what happens.
What we read. For each photo, the app reads only two pieces of embedded metadata: the date and time the photo was taken, and the GPS coordinates recorded by your camera, if present. The app uses these to work out which state or country you were in on a given day, and to identify days for which no photo evidence exists.
What we do not do. The app does not upload, copy, transmit, back up, or store your photos or videos. It does not analyse the visual contents of your images, and it does not use facial recognition or object recognition of any kind. Your photos never leave your device.
Where processing happens. All scanning and metadata extraction is performed locally on your device. No photo, thumbnail, or image file is sent to us or to any third party.
What is retained. After a scan, the app keeps only derived information: a date, a resolved state or country, and the time zone associated with that location. Photos themselves are not retained by the app in any form.
Limited access. iOS allows you to grant access to selected photos rather than your full library. If you choose limited access, the app can only read metadata from the photos you have selected, and the resulting day history will be incomplete.
Revoking access. You may revoke photo access at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos > Gapday. Revoking access stops the app from detecting new days. Information already saved on your device remains until you delete it.
The app does not request access to your device's location services and does not track your location in real time or in the background. All location information used by the app is derived from GPS coordinates already embedded in your own photos by the camera that took them.
Days for which no photo contains GPS coordinates are shown as having no location information. You may fill these in manually.
You may add or correct the state or country recorded for any day. These entries are stored locally on your device alongside the rest of your day history and are not transmitted to us.
Gapday: State & Country Tracker offers paid subscription plans that unlock the app's premium features. Pricing, plan duration, and any introductory pricing are displayed in the app before you confirm a purchase.
All purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account. We never receive, collect, or store your credit card number, bank details, or billing address. We receive only a transaction receipt and subscription status from Apple, which we use to verify your purchase and restore it if you reinstall the app or move to a new device.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can view, manage, or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your device. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for information on how Apple handles payment data.
We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app, we collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device model, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics. Log Data does not include your photos or your day history.
We use Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the app is used and to diagnose crashes. This includes aggregated, non-identifying information such as which screens are opened, session length, app version, device model, and crash stack traces. We use this information solely to fix problems and improve the app.
Your day history, location entries, and app settings are stored locally on your device. We do not operate a server that holds this information, and we cannot access it. If you delete the app, this information is removed from your device along with it.
Because this information is stored only on your device, it is not automatically backed up by us. If you restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup that includes app data, your history may be restored along with it, according to Apple's backup settings.

This Service does not use these "cookies" explicitly. However, the app may use third-party code and libraries that use "cookies" to collect information and improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your device. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of this Service.
We may employ third-party companies and individuals for the following reasons:
To facilitate our Service;
To provide the Service on our behalf;
To perform Service-related services; or
To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.
We want to inform users of this Service that these third parties have access to your Personal Information. The reason is to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose. No third party receives your photos or your day history.
Your day history, manual entries, and app settings are stored locally on your device.
Local Data Deletion: You can delete all locally stored data at any time by uninstalling Gapday: State & Country Tracker, or by using the reset option inside the app where available.
