Effective date: 7 October 2026
This policy explains what information the Calorie Tracker mobile app ("the App") handles, why, and the choices you have. The App is published by Optor Group Ltd ("we", "us"). By installing or using the App you agree to this policy.
Your diary, body measurements, notes and photos are stored only on your device.
No account, no sign-in, no ads, no in-app purchases.
We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used, under a random install ID.
Some food searches are sent to Google Translate to find foods typed in other languages.
To work, the App keeps the following on your phone, in the App's private storage:
Profile and plan: sex, age, height, weight, target weight, activity level, goal, unit preferences and the calculated calorie and macro targets.
Daily logs: foods and meals, activities, water intake, weight entries, notes and mood.
Progress photos and a profile picture, if you add them.
App settings such as language and sound.
This information is not uploaded to our servers. We cannot see it, and it is not backed up by us. It is removed when you clear the App's data or uninstall the App.
We use Google Firebase Analytics to learn which features are used and where people get stuck, so we can improve the App. Analytics is linked to a random identifier created when the App is first installed. It is not linked to your name, email or phone number.
Firebase receives:
Usage events, such as opening the App, finishing onboarding, logging a food, activity, water or weight, opening a recipe, or changing the language.
Some details attached to those events, for example: the goal and activity level you chose, sex, calculated daily calories and macros, calories of a logged food, a logged weight in kilograms, activity duration, water total in millilitres, and the length (not the text) of notes and searches.
Information Firebase collects automatically: app instance ID, device model, operating system and version, app version, language, approximate country/region derived from your IP address, and session information.
We do not send the text of your notes, your photos or your food diary as a whole. Google processes this data on our behalf under the Firebase privacy terms and the Google Privacy Policy.
When you search for a food and the App finds very few matches, it may send your search text to Google's translation service (translate.googleapis.com) to translate it into English and search again. Only the search words are sent. If you are offline, the App uses local results only.
The App asks for camera access only when you choose to take a progress photo, and opens your photo library only when you choose a picture. Photos stay in the App's storage on your device and are never uploaded by us. You can refuse or withdraw these permissions at any time in your device settings; the rest of the App keeps working.

Governed by the store's own privacy policy
We do not use advertising networks and do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, or to a successor in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply.
Data on your device is kept until you delete it, clear the App's data or uninstall the App. Analytics data is kept by Firebase for the retention period set in our Firebase project, which is no longer than 14 months, and is then deleted automatically.
Delete your data: clear the App's storage or uninstall the App to delete everything stored on your device.
Analytics data: email us to ask for access to, or deletion of, analytics data tied to your install. Include the date you installed the App so we can find it.
Permissions: turn camera and photo access off at any time in your device settings.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal information, to object to processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Our legal basis for analytics is our legitimate interest in improving the App. We do not sell or "share" personal information as defined by the CCPA.
Calorie Tracker is a general wellness tool. Its calorie and nutrient targets are estimates and are not medical advice. Talk to a doctor or a registered dietitian before making major changes to your diet or exercise, especially if you are pregnant, under 18 or have a medical condition.
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the App, contact us and we will delete any related analytics data.
Information stored by the App sits in its private storage on your device, protected by your device's own security. Data sent to Google services is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy when the App changes. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be announced in the App or on its store page.
