AttendLoop ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy describes how information is collected, used, stored, and shared when you install and use the AttendLoop: Attendance Manager mobile application (the "App").

1. Local-First (Offline) Data Storage

AttendLoop is designed as a local-first, offline-utility application.

Offline Storage: All data you enter into the App—including subjects, attendance logs, timetables, reminder tasks, custom targets, and subject notes—is saved locally and securely inside a private SQLite database on your mobile device.
No Cloud Synchronization: We do not host, sync, or transmit your database, timetables, or linked documents to any external servers or cloud storage. Your scheduling data never leaves your device.
Linked Files: Subject notes linked inside the App (such as PDFs, documents, or images) remain in their original directories on your device. The App only references local file URIs to access them locally.

2. Peer-to-Peer Timetable Sharing (Offline QR Code)

The timetable sharing feature compiles selected courses and slot sequences into a compressed, encoded QR code directly on your screen.

- This data is read via direct peer-to-peer scanning using another device's camera.

- No network connection, database synchronization, or servers are utilized during this sharing process.

3. Google AdMob (Advertising)

To support development, the free tier of the App serves advertisements using the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob).

Personalized & Non-Personalized Ads: Google AdMob may collect and process device identifiers, advertising IDs (e.g., AAID), IP addresses, and generalized location data to serve, optimize, and personalize ads.
Opt-Out: You can reset or opt out of personalized ads tracking via your device’s system settings (Settings > Google > Ads).
Ad-Free Option: Users can temporarily unlock premium utility features within the App by successfully viewing a rewarded video advertisement served via Google AdMob.
Third-Party Advertising and Liability: Because our target audience is 18 and older, AdMob may occasionally serve advertisements that contain mature, sensitive, or 18+ content. We do not have direct, manual control over every specific advertisement displayed by Google's automated network. By using this app, you acknowledge that you may be exposed to such content and agree that the developer is not legally liable for the content, claims, or nature of any third-party advertisements.
Data Collection for Advertising: Google AdMob collects and uses personal data—such as your IP address, device identifiers, and ad interaction data—to serve and measure the performance of advertisements. As a consequence of using Google products, please be aware that third parties may place and read cookies on your device or use web beacons to collect information as a result of ad serving.

3.1 In-App Purchases & Payment Processing

AttendLoop offers optional in-app upgrades (e.g., Lifetime Pro upgrade) processed securely via the Google Play Billing system.

We do not collect, store, or process your credit card numbers, billing addresses, or payment credentials.
All payment transactions are handled securely by Google Play. Google shares only transaction validation tokens with the App to unlock Pro features.

4. Device Permissions Required

The App utilizes local Android system components to deliver features securely and privately without requiring excessive device permissions:

Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Requested at runtime to alert you of upcoming classes and reminder schedules.
Timetable Scanning (Camera): The App utilizes the Google Play Services Code Scanner SDK to scan QR codes. This scanner runs securely inside Google Play Services' secure boundary. The App itself does not request, access, or require your device's Camera permission.
File Selection (Storage/Document Picker): Subject notes and CSV backups are imported/exported using Android's system-level Document Picker. The App only accesses files you explicitly select and does not request or require full device Storage permissions.

6. Age Restriction and Children's Privacy

This application is strictly intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly permit individuals under the age of 18 to use this application or collect personal information from them. If you are under 18, you are prohibited from using this app and must uninstall it immediately. Since the App stores all scheduling and attendance data locally and does not transmit it, we do not collect personal data directly from any user.

7. GDPR & CCPA/CPRA Rights

Except for system-level analytics and advertising identifiers processed automatically by Google AdMob and Google Play Billing (as detailed in Section 3 and Section 3.1), AttendLoop operates purely as an offline-first app. We do not host, store, process, sell, or have access to your private attendance logs, notes, or schedules on any external server.

- To access, clear, or delete your attendance data, you can clear the App's storage or uninstall the App from your device at any time.

- You can manage your ad personalization preferences through the AdMob options or via your device's Google Ads settings.
