This Privacy Policy describes how ECONFINA RIVER RESORT ASSOCIATION, INC. (“ECONFINA RIVER RESORT ASSOCIATION,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) processes information when you use our PDF Reader mobile application (the “App”).
The App lets you open, read and process PDF documents on your device, including merging, splitting, rotating, compressing, watermarking, signing, converting to images and on-device text recognition.
The App works entirely on your device. It does not require an account and does not transmit your documents or personal information to us or to anyone else.
Information Processed by the App
Files you open
When you pick a file, the Android system file picker (Storage Access Framework) grants the App temporary access to that single file. A copy may be placed in the App's private cache so the file can be rendered or processed.
To show the Recent list, the App stores the following locally on your device, in the App's private storage:
file name;
file size;
the page you last viewed;
whether you marked the file as a favourite.
This information never leaves the device and is not uploaded anywhere.
Tools and processing
All tools (merge, split, rotate, compress, watermark, sign, image conversion and text recognition) run entirely on your device.
Text recognition uses Google ML Kit in on-device mode; no image or text leaves the phone.
Results are written to the App cache and can be shared or saved by you using the system share sheet.
Preferences
Display settings such as theme are stored locally on the device.
Information we do not ask for
The App does not request or use storage, camera, microphone, location or contacts permissions. File access is provided per file through the Android document picker.
The App does not require your:
name or email address;
postal address;
phone contacts;
precise location;
photos;
private messages;
banking credentials; or
advertising profile
to provide its functionality.
The App does not collect advertising identifiers or device identifiers.
How Information Is Used
Locally stored information is used only as needed to:
display your Recent and Favourites lists;
reopen a document on the page where you left it;
remember your display preferences.
Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs.
On-device text recognition is provided by Google ML Kit running locally on the device; no data is sent to Google for this feature.
When you use the “Share” feature, the file you choose is passed to the application you select through the Android share sheet. That application processes the file under its own terms and privacy policy, which are not controlled by ECONFINA RIVER RESORT ASSOCIATION.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal information.
We do not share personal information with third parties.
We do not share personal information for third-party advertising or cross-app behavioral tracking.
The App does not transmit any data to our servers or to third-party servers.
Advertising and Tracking
The App contains no advertising.
The App is not designed to track users across unrelated apps or websites.
We do not create advertising profiles based on your use of the App.
If these practices change in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated and any consent required by applicable law will be requested before relevant tracking technologies are used.
Storage, Security, and Retention
All data is stored in the App's private storage on your device and is protected by the Android application sandbox.
Information stored locally by the App may remain on your device until you:
clear the Recent list in the App;
clear the App's data;
or uninstall the App.
We do not operate servers that store your personal information.
No device or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your Choices and Deletion Requests
You may stop further processing by:
using Profile → Clear recent history in the App;
clearing the App's data in Android system settings;
or uninstalling the App.
Uninstalling the App deletes all App data.
Because we do not hold personal information on servers, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on your behalf. If you believe otherwise, you may contact us and we will review the matter.
International Processing
The App processes information only on your device. We do not transfer your information between countries.
Children
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us so that we can review the matter and, where appropriate, delete the information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to:
the App;
its features;
applicable legal requirements;
our information practices.
When changes are made, we will update the “Last updated” date above.
