This Privacy Policy describes how Boxo collects, uses, and protects user information. Protecting your personal data and visual privacy is our top priority. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
For any questions regarding your data or to exercise your privacy rights, you can contact us at: Email: assistenzaclienti@ai4smartcity.ai
The Boxo App requires access to your device’s camera. This is a fundamental and indispensable requirement for the service to function.
Purpose of Collection: Camera access is required exclusively to enable the visualization of digital elements (3D models, information, multimedia content) overlaid on physical space or triggered via specific "markers" (logos or target images).
Processing Method: The video stream captured by the camera is processed in real-time ("on-the-fly") for surface recognition or marker detection.
No Data Storage: Boxo does not record, take photographs, or save videos or images of your surroundings on our servers. All visual processing occurs locally on the user's device.
User Consent: Camera access is enabled only after the user has provided explicit consent through the standard Android system permission dialogue.
Interaction Data: Information regarding the activation of AR content (e.g., which markers were scanned) for anonymous statistical purposes.
Device Information: Device model, operating system version (Android 15+), and technical specifications (e.g., ARCore support) to ensure technical optimization and the correct rendering of 3D elements.
The app may integrate third-party SDKs (such as ARCore or technical analytics tools). These components are configured to operate in compliance with Google Play security standards and are activated only to support Augmented Reality rendering and app stability.
No Data Selling: We do not sell or lease personal or visual data to third parties.
Session-Based: Technical data required for AR functionality is temporary and limited to the duration of the active session. No visual history of the user’s environment is maintained.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your device from unauthorized access during camera use. Users are reminded to use the camera and AR features responsibly, remaining aware of their physical surroundings to avoid obstacles or hazards.
In compliance with global privacy regulations (including GDPR), you have the right to:
Access information regarding the technical data collected.
Request the deletion of interaction data.
Revoke camera consent at any time through your Android device settings. However, revoking this permission will render Boxo’s core features unavailable.
