INTRODUCTION
Welcome to Thulir ("we," "our," or "us"). Thulir is a comprehensive college companion mobile application designed to assist students in managing their academic performance, attendance, timetables, assignments, events, and personal tracking features.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information and sensitive data you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our mobile application (the "App") available on the Google Play Store and other platforms.
By downloading, installing, or using Thulir, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us when using the App, as well as data automatically collected to ensure proper functioning.
A. Personal Information
Account Details:
Email address, password, name, and profile avatar or photo.
Academic Profile:
College name, department/branch, semester configuration, subject details, and faculty names.
B. Academic & Student Data
Attendance Records:
Daily attendance status (Present, Absent, On-Duty), subject-wise attendance percentages, and historical logs.
Academic Performance:
CAT (Continuous Assessment Test) marks, semester exam marks, subject credits, GPA, and cumulative CGPA.
Assignments & Schedule:
Assignment titles, deadlines, submission status, class timetable, and exam schedules.
Events & Extracurriculars:
Registered events, symposiums, hackathons, and user-assigned event priority ratings.
C. Sensitive Personal & Health Data (Period Tracking)
For female users who voluntarily opt to use the Period Tracking feature, the App stores period start/end dates, cycle length, and user-logged symptoms.
Period tracking data is categorized as sensitive personal information. It is strictly used within the App to calculate cycle predictions and trends for the logged-in user. It is never shared with third parties, sold, or used for advertising purposes.
D. Automatically Collected Information & Device Data
Push Notification Tokens:
Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens required to deliver deadline reminders, exam notifications, and attendance warnings.
Device & App Status:
Network connectivity state (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE) to handle offline/online synchronization with our cloud server.
DEVICE PERMISSIONS REQUESTED
To provide full functionality, Thulir requests access to certain device permissions.
INTERNET:
Purpose: To synchronize your profile, academic records, and data with Firebase servers securely.
Status: Mandatory.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE:
Purpose: To monitor network connectivity and manage data synchronization when offline or online.
Status: Mandatory.
CAMERA:
Purpose: To allow you to take a photo directly for your profile picture or to capture assignment documents.
Status: Optional.
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE:
Purpose: To allow you to upload images/documents from your device or save exported schedule files.
Status: Optional.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the collected data solely for operating, maintaining, and improving the features of Thulir.
Core Service Provision:
To display your timetable, calculate subject-wise attendance percentages, compute semester GPA/CGPA, and predict menstrual cycles if the feature is enabled.
Account Management:
To authenticate your login, manage your profile, and keep your data synchronized across devices.
Reminders & Notifications:
To send alerts for upcoming assignment deadlines, exam schedules, and critical attendance drops.
Data Visualization:
To render interactive performance graphs and statistics using Syncfusion Charts.
App Security & Debugging:
To identify technical glitches, resolve crashes, and prevent fraudulent activity.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND DATA SHARING
We DO NOT sell, trade, rent, or monetize your personal or sensitive health data.
To deliver cloud synchronization and authentication, we use trusted third-party service providers. These services collect and process data in accordance with their respective privacy policies.
Google Firebase (Google LLC)
Services Used:
Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore (Database), and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).
Purpose:
Secure user sign-in, encrypted data storage, and push notifications.

DATA PROTECTION AND SECURITY
We take the security of your data seriously and implement technical and organizational security measures.
Encryption in Transit:
All communication between the App and Firebase servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS protocols.
Data Access Controls:
Security rules enforced at the database level using Firebase Firestore Security Rules ensure that your academic records and sensitive period tracking data can only be accessed by your authenticated account.
No Third-Party Tracking/Ads:
Thulir does not contain third-party ad networks, advertising identifiers, or analytics trackers that profile user behavior across other apps.
ACCOUNT DELETION & DATA RETENTION
Data Retention:
We retain your personal data as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide you with the services of the App.
Account Deletion Request:
You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated data stored in Thulir at any time.
How to delete your account and data:
In-App Method:
Navigate to Settings > Account > Delete Account to instantly wipe your data from our database.
Email Request Method:
Send an email to rahulbabuoffl@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request - Thulir" from your registered email address.
Upon receiving an email request, we will permanently delete your account, academic records, period tracking data, and profile from our active database within 7 business days.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Thulir is designed for students in higher education (college/university level). The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and discover that your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at rahulbabuoffl@gmail.com, and we will promptly remove such information from our records.
