Security & Privacy Workshop

Technologies such as smart devices, internet services and machine learning offer significant benefits to the world, but also raise many new challenges to broad aspects of security and privacy. The goal of this workshop is to engage directly with the academic researchers and practitioners in an effort to better understand how Google can address those challenges responsibly.

The workshop program will include short position talks by all participants on relevant challenges, and ideas to address them, along with open discussion and breakout sessions motivated by applications at Google and the interests of attendees. It is our hope that this workshop will not only present the opportunity to work more closely with academic leaders in Privacy and Security, but also become a forum to identify relevant challenges in the field and discover the best ideas for addressing them.
