Teacher Record Book is an offline-first classroom record application designed for teachers and authorized school staff.
The app helps users manage classroom information such as classes, students, attendance, tests and marks, reports, parent communication drafts, teacher and school profile information, subjects, student-list Excel files, and local backups.
This Privacy Policy explains how the current version of Teacher Record Book handles information.
Teacher Record Book primarily stores school and classroom records locally on the user's device.
Depending on the features used, locally stored information may include:
teacher name and school name;
optional school staff information entered by the user;
class names and academic years;
class status and attendance-tracking preferences;
student names and roll numbers;
parent, father, or guardian names;
student or parent phone numbers;
student joining and removal information;
attendance records, including Present, Absent, and Leave;
test names, subjects, dates, and total marks;
student marks and test-absence status;
custom subject suggestions;
communication templates;
app preferences; and
information used to generate reports, Excel files, and backups.
Teacher Record Book does not provide teacher, student, or parent accounts and does not intentionally upload classroom records to the developer's own server.
The app does not intentionally send student names, parent or guardian names or phone numbers, teacher names, school names, attendance records, marks, test results, message contents, or report contents to Firebase or Google AdMob.
Classroom information may leave the app when the user deliberately performs actions such as importing, exporting, sharing, backing up, restoring, creating an SMS draft, opening the dialer, or sharing a report.
Teacher Record Book uses selected Firebase services provided by Google:
Firebase Analytics;
Firebase Crashlytics; and
Firebase Remote Config.
These services may process technical information required to provide their functionality, such as:
app and device information;
operating-system information;
app version;
app interactions;
diagnostics;
crash information;
installation or app-instance identifiers;
configuration metadata; and
network-related service information.
Teacher Record Book does not intentionally include classroom-record content in Firebase analytics events, Crashlytics custom data, or Remote Config requests.
Firebase processes technical information according to Google's applicable terms, privacy policies, and service documentation.
Teacher Record Book uses Firebase Analytics to understand general app usage, feature adoption, and whether selected app operations succeed.
The app may record fixed or categorical events such as:
creation of a class;
addition or import of students;
attendance being saved;
marks being saved;
a report being shared;
a backup-related action;
opening a communication action; or
advertising-related application events.
These custom events are designed not to include classroom-record content such as:
student names;
roll numbers;
parent or guardian names;
phone numbers;
teacher or school names;
attendance values;
marks;
test-result contents;
message text;
report contents; or
exported-file contents.
Firebase Analytics may also process technical identifiers associated with an app installation or device in accordance with Google's service behavior and the user's device settings.
Teacher Record Book uses Firebase Crashlytics to identify crashes and technical failures and to improve application stability.
Crashlytics may process technical information such as:
crash stack traces;
exception details;
diagnostic information;
app and device information;
operating-system information;
timestamps;
application version; and
installation identifiers.
Teacher Record Book does not intentionally add student information, parent information, attendance records, marks, school records, communication contents, or report contents to Crashlytics reports.
System-generated crash or diagnostic information may nevertheless contain technical context generated by Android, Firebase, Google services, or other libraries used by the application.
Teacher Record Book uses Firebase Remote Config to retrieve operational application settings without requiring a new app version.
Remote configuration may be used for settings such as:
advertising availability;
advertising frequency or cooldown settings;
selected feature availability;
operational thresholds; and
other application configuration.
Remote Config may process a Firebase installation identifier and related application, device, configuration, and request metadata.
Classroom-record information is not intentionally sent as a Remote Config parameter or value.
Teacher Record Book can support user-controlled operations such as:
importing student lists from Excel files;
exporting student information;
generating PDF reports;
saving or sharing reports;
creating local backups; and
restoring backups.
These operations happen only after the user selects the relevant action.
Excel student files may contain information such as:
roll number;
student name;
parent or father name;
phone number; and
joining date.
Reports and backup files may contain classroom information such as:
teacher or school information;
classes;
students;
attendance;
tests;
marks;
custom subjects; and
app or message-template information.
Teacher Record Book may use Android's system file picker, document provider, or sharing interface for these operations.
If the user chooses another application, cloud-storage provider, device, or recipient, the selected information may be transferred outside Teacher Record Book.
The external application or service then handles that information according to its own privacy practices.
Users are responsible for protecting exported and backup files and sharing them only with appropriate recipients.
Teacher Record Book can prepare communication text and open the device's SMS application with a draft message.
Teacher Record Book does not automatically send SMS messages. The user reviews and sends the message using the external messaging application.
The app may also open Android's system sharing interface for reports or other user-selected information.
If the user selects WhatsApp, email, cloud storage, or another external application, that application handles the transferred information according to its own privacy policy and terms.
Phone actions open the device's dialer with the selected phone number.
Teacher Record Book does not automatically place phone calls.
Teacher Record Book uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.
The current application may display advertising formats such as banner advertisements and controlled interstitial advertisements.
The Google Mobile Ads SDK may process technical information such as:
the device's IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
interactions with advertisements;
interactions with the application;
diagnostic and performance information;
device information; and
advertising or device-related identifiers where available.
Google and its advertising partners may use this technical information for purposes such as:
displaying advertisements;
measuring advertising performance;
analytics;
fraud prevention;
security; and
legal or regulatory compliance.
Teacher Record Book does not intentionally provide student names, parent or guardian information, phone numbers, attendance records, marks, test results, teacher information, school information, message contents, or exported-document contents to AdMob for advertising purposes.
Advertising services are provided by Google and are subject to Google's applicable privacy policies and advertising terms.
The developer does not sell personal data.
Technical data may be processed by Google through Firebase and Google AdMob for services such as analytics, crash diagnostics, remote configuration, advertising, measurement, fraud prevention, and security.
Teacher Record Book does not intentionally disclose classroom-record content to Firebase or AdMob.
Classroom information may be transferred to another application, provider, device, or recipient when the user initiates actions such as:
import;
export;
share;
backup;
restore;
PDF save or share;
Excel operations;
SMS draft;
phone action; or
another Android system sharing operation.
Teacher Record Book is intended for teachers and authorized school staff.
It is not designed to be used directly by children and does not provide:
student accounts;
parent accounts; or
student login functionality.
Teachers and organizations using Teacher Record Book are responsible for having appropriate authority to collect, enter, use, store, export, back up, and share student or parent information.
Users are also responsible for complying with any privacy, education, child-protection, school-policy, and record-retention requirements that apply to them.
Users should enter only information necessary for their teaching work and should not share school records with unauthorized persons.
Teacher Record Book provides controls for managing local records, including editing records and, where supported:
removing or restoring students;
archiving or restoring classes; and
deleting or updating other classroom records.
Some historical information may remain where necessary to preserve attendance, test, marks, or report history.
Users can remove all locally stored Teacher Record Book data by:
clearing the app's storage through Android settings; or
uninstalling Teacher Record Book.
Clearing application storage or uninstalling the app does not delete copies that the user previously exported, shared, or backed up.
Those copies must be deleted separately from the application, storage provider, device, or recipient where they were saved.
Technical information processed by Firebase or Google AdMob is retained and deleted according to the applicable Google service controls and retention practices.
Because Teacher Record Book does not use a teacher account or login system, the developer may not be able to associate third-party technical information with a specific teacher by name.
Teacher Record Book is designed to keep classroom-record storage primarily on the user's device.
The app uses Android system interfaces for user-controlled file, sharing, messaging, and dialer operations.
Users should:
protect their device with an appropriate screen lock;
keep Android and Teacher Record Book updated;
protect exported files and backups;
maintain appropriate backups where needed; and
share classroom information only with authorized recipients.
No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure, particularly after information has been transferred to another application, provider, device, or recipient chosen by the user.
Teacher Record Book does not currently offer in-app purchases through Google Play Billing.
If paid features, subscriptions, or a Remove Ads purchase are introduced in a future version, this Privacy Policy may be updated accordingly.
This Privacy Policy may be updated when Teacher Record Book's features, service providers, advertising configuration, or legal obligations change.
When the policy is updated, the effective date shown at the top of the policy will also be updated.
Material changes may be communicated through the application listing, an in-app notice, or the published privacy-policy page where appropriate.
