Welcome to Scan to PDF Tool. We are deeply committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal document digitization journey remains secure. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard the information you provide while using the App. We prioritize transparency, ensuring you understand exactly how your data is handled as you convert, view, and manage your documents.
By using Scan to PDF Tool, you entrust us with certain information. We take this responsibility seriously, aiming to provide a secure environment whether you are capturing daily receipts or interacting with our document viewing features. We encourage you to read this document carefully.
The App is designed to provide a seamless document management and productivity experience. To maintain functionality and improve our services, we collect and process the following types of information:
User-Provided Information: While using the App, you may voluntarily provide information when contacting us for support. However, the App is designed to function without requiring personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, address, or phone number.
Document & Capture Data (User-Triggered): To deliver camera scanning and file conversion services, the App processes images of receipts, books, or ID cards captured via your camera, as well as text inputs or document modifications. This content is processed locally to ensure your absolute privacy.
Usage Data: We collect data on how you interact with the App, including the frequency of features utilized (such as the image-to-PDF converter), interface interaction events, and average file sizes processed.
Device Information: To ensure compatibility and accurate document typography scaling, we collect technical details such as your device model, manufacturing brand, operating system version, screen resolution, system language, and time zone configurations.
Unique Identifiers: Non-personal identifiers, such as advertising IDs or Android IDs, help us deliver relevant content and track app performance across different device types.
Log Data: Like most mobile apps, we collect log data (IP address, network connection status, and application crash reports) to assist in debugging and maintaining app stability.
The data collected is utilized to provide a high-quality and reliable document scanning and reading experience:
Optimization & Performance: We use log data, exception diagnostics, and crash reports to identify and fix technical anomalies, ensuring the App remains a reliable tool for your mobile productivity.
Feature Development: Usage patterns and feature usage frequency help us understand which document tools or layout enhancements are most valuable, allowing us to prioritize future functional logic adjustments.
Advertising & Marketing: Non-personal data and device-level identifiers may be shared with advertising partners to display relevant ads. This supports our ability to offer the App’s core features for free.
Security: We monitor data to prevent fraudulent activities, protecting the integrity of your local file environment and the App’s infrastructure.
Customer Support: If you reach out for help via feedback channels, your provided device information and email address allow us to replicate and resolve technical problems more effectively.
We do not sell your personal files, scanned graphics, or textual data to third parties. Sharing occurs only in specific, limited circumstances:
Service Providers: We share non-personal data with trusted analytics providers (like Firebase) and advertising networks to support app operations, ad placements, and stability tracking.
Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by a valid legal request from public authorities, subpoenas, or to protect the legitimate safety and rights of our users and the public.
Business Transfers: In case of a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, your data will continue to be protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy unless further notification is provided.
GDPR (EU/EEA Residents): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict the processing of your data. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests.
CCPA (California Residents): You have the right to know what data is collected, request its deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information (though we do not sell your data).
VCDPA (Virginia Residents): You have the right to confirm data processing, correct inaccuracies, and obtain a copy of your data in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at randomistiak@gmail.com

Private documents, contracts, and captured graphics run on an offline-first architecture; they are processed temporarily in active memory and are not permanently stored on our remote servers.
Permission Settings: The App requests permissions for Storage access and Camera capture only when required by specific features. You maintain the right to grant or withdraw these permissions at any time via your device's native system settings. Revoking these permissions may limit part of the document loading and conversion features.
