For FocusLock to function effectively as a productivity tool, it requires specific Android permissions. Here is how we use them:
* **Usage Access (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS):** This is used solely to detect which application is currently in the foreground. This data is processed in real-time locally on your device to determine if an app should be blocked. **No app usage history is ever sent to our servers.**
* **Overlay Permission (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW):** This allows FocusLock to display a lock screen over distracting apps. This is a local visual element only.
* **Notification Access:** This is used to ensure the background service remains stable and is not terminated by the operating system. We do not read, store, or share the content of your notifications.
2. Third-Party Services
Our applications currently do not use third-party analytics (like Firebase Analytics) or advertising networks (like AdMob). Should we integrate such services in the future, this policy will be updated to reflect their data collection practices.
3. Data Security
Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no risk of your personal information being leaked from our servers. All configurations and whitelists you create in the app stay exclusively on your device.
