IntroductionHow Was Your Day? is a local-first mood diary app focused on privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your data is handled within the app.
Data CollectionThe app stores mood entries, optional notes, and basic app settings locally on your device. No personal data is collected by the developer or transmitted to remote servers by default.

Local StorageYour entries are stored locally using Hive database on your device. They remain private to your device unless you choose to export or share them. The app does not have internet permissions for data transmission.
Data Sharing and Third PartiesThe app does not share your data with third parties. If you enable optional features that explicitly use third-party services (for example, an export or share action), that data may leave your device through those user-initiated actions only.

SecurityWe store data locally and recommend you secure your device with a passcode or biometric lock. The app does not encrypt data by default; if you require stronger protection, consider using device-level encryption or secure backups provided by your operating system.
Data Retention and DeletionYou control your data. You can delete individual entries from within the app or clear all data from the app settings. Exported data is stored outside the app and is subject to the storage rules of the destination you choose (e.g., your device's file system, cloud storage, email).

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used the app, you may delete their data from the app settings or by uninstalling the application.

No other permissions are requested or required.
Changes to This PolicyWe may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted in the app release notes and on this page. Continued use of the app after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
Data PortabilityYou can export your mood data at any time using the Export feature in the app. Data can be exported as CSV or PDF format for use in other applications or for backup purposes.
