Video Keeper (“the App”, “we”, “us”) explains in this policy how we handle information when you use the App.
1) What Video Keeper does
Video Keeper helps you save videos to your device for offline viewing using links you provide. The App does not offer account registration or login, and it does not request Instagram or Pinterest passwords.
2) Information we handle
A. Information you provide
Links/URLs you paste into the App.
We use these links only to process your request and start a download.
B. Information stored on your device
Downloaded files saved to your device storage.
Download list/history (if enabled) such as file name, time, and status to help you manage downloads. You can clear this in the App settings.
C. Basic device/app information (optional)
Depending on your build configuration, the App may process basic device/app info (such as device model, OS version, and app version) for performance and stability purposes.
3) Ads, analytics, and crash reporting (only if enabled)
Video Keeper may include third-party services such as:
Advertising (e.g., Google AdMob): used to show ads and measure performance. Ad services may process device identifiers such as the Advertising ID, along with device/network signals for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention.
Analytics (e.g., Firebase Analytics): used to understand app usage (e.g., feature interactions) and improve the App.
Crash reporting (e.g., Firebase Crashlytics): used to diagnose crashes and improve stability.
If you publish to users in the EEA/UK/Switzerland and use ads, consent may be required for certain ad-related processing depending on your setup.
4) How we use information
We use information to:
run the download workflow you initiate,
display download progress and manage saved files,
improve reliability and app performance (especially when diagnostics are enabled),
show ads and measure effectiveness (if ads are enabled).
We do not sell personal information.
5) Sharing of information
We may share limited information with service providers only when needed to operate the App (for example, ad/analytics/crash reporting providers if enabled). We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect users and prevent abuse.
6) Permissions
To provide core functionality, the App may request:
Network access to process the links you provide, and
Media/Storage access (depending on Android version) to save downloaded files.
We aim to request only the permissions necessary for core features and avoid unnecessary broad access.
7) Retention and deletion
Downloaded files remain on your device until you delete them.
8) Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9) Acceptable use and third-party platforms
Use Video Keeper only for content you own or have permission to download, and follow applicable laws and platform terms. Video Keeper is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Pinterest.
10) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the effective date and provide notice where appropriate.
