StyleMe ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the StyleMe mobile application (the "App").
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By accessing or using the App, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the App.
No Biometric or Face Data Collection: We do NOT collect, map, scan, or process facial geometry, biometric identifiers, or facial recognition characteristics.
No Account Creation Data: The App runs locally on your device and does not require you to create an account, enter your name, email address, or phone number.
Consent-Based AI Processing: Outfit photos are sent to Google Gemini AI for real-time analysis only after you provide explicit in-app consent.
Local Storage First: All analyzed outfit images saved to your "Collection" are stored locally on your device. We do not run cloud database servers that store your photos.
We collect information in the following ways to provide and improve the App's services:
A. Image and Camera Data (Outfit Photos)
What We Collect: When you scan your outfit, the App accesses your device's camera or your photo gallery (only after you grant native system permissions). This captures 2D images containing your clothing, fit, and general appearance.
How We Collect It: Via your device camera or when you manually select an image from your device’s photo library.
Purpose: To analyze your outfit's color coordination, styling harmony, fit, and suitability for specific occasions.
B. In-App Purchase and Transaction Data
What We Collect: Subscription status, credit balances, purchase history, and transaction receipt identifiers.
How We Collect It: Through our third-party billing platform, RevenueCat, which interacts securely with Apple’s App Store billing system. We do not collect or store credit card numbers or banking information.
C. Local Cache and Usage Data
What We Collect: Your saved outfit collections, app preferences (such as dark mode), and your AI privacy consent history.
How We Collect It: Using standard local device sandbox mechanisms (localStorage and Capacitor filesystem).
In compliance with Apple App Store Review Guidelines:
No Facial Mapping: StyleMe does NOT use TrueDepth, ARKit, FaceID, or any other facial mapping/landmark detection APIs.
No Biometrics: The App does not collect, record, calculate, or extract any biometric identifiers, facial geometry, or face landmarks from your photos.
Ignore Facial Features: While your outfit photo may include your face (such as in a mirror selfie), the integrated Google Gemini AI engine completely ignores facial features and only processes clothing, patterns, fit, and color combinations for styling critiques.
We only share data with third-party service providers who help us deliver the App's core features. We confirm that these third parties provide equal or equivalent protections for your data:
A. Google LLC (Gemini AI Services)
What is Shared: When you request an outfit analysis, your compressed outfit photo is securely sent via HTTPS to Google Gemini AI API endpoints.
Google's Protection Standards: Your photos are processed in real-time in secure Google memory instances. According to the Google Gemini Developer Terms of Service, data sent via API is processed securely and is not stored permanently by Google and not used to train Google's AI models. No personal identifiers (names, emails, account IDs) are shared with Google.
B. RevenueCat, Inc.
What is Shared: Anonymous transaction tokens and purchase metadata to verify subscription status and credit balance.
RevenueCat's Protection Standards: RevenueCat complies with standard industry privacy protections and Apple Store requirements, validating receipts without identifying the user's name or billing details.
We believe in minimizing data storage to protect your privacy:
No Cloud Storage for Photos: StyleMe does not upload your outfit photos to any remote database, web server, or cloud storage.
On-Device Sandbox: All outfit history, saved ratings, and photos in your "Collection" are stored exclusively in the local sandboxed storage of your iPhone/iPad.
Retention Period: Outfit photos are retained locally on your device for as long as you choose to keep them. If you manually delete an item from your collection or uninstall the App, the associated image and analysis data are instantly and permanently erased from your device.
To run our features, the App requests access to:
Camera (NSCameraUsageDescription): Required to let you capture real-time photos of your outfits for analysis.
Photo Library (NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription): Required to let you select existing outfit photos from your device’s camera roll.
You can modify or revoke these permissions at any time through your iOS device settings (Settings > StyleMe).
Because we store no user accounts or photos on our servers:
Self-Service Deletion: You can delete any saved outfit photo, color palette, or rating directly within the App by removing it from your Collection.
Full Wipe: Uninstalling the StyleMe App from your device completely deletes all local data, including your cached outfit images and preference settings.
Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately so we can remove it from local device files.
