SilentSafe (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is an offline password manager designed to securely store and manage sensitive information directly on your device.
We follow a strict privacy-first, zero-data-collection approach. Your data is never transmitted, stored externally, or accessed by us.
SilentSafe is built on the following principles:
No account or sign-up required
No internet-based data storage
No access to your vault by the developer
No data collection, tracking, or profiling
Full user control over all stored data
3.1 Local-Only Storage
All data entered into SilentSafe, including:
Passwords
Login credentials
Secure notes
Sensitive information
is stored only on your device.
We do not operate any servers and do not store user data externally.
3.2 Encryption
Your data is secured using strong cryptographic protection:
Encrypted using AES-256 encryption
Encryption and decryption occur entirely on-device
Data remains unreadable without authentication
Encryption keys are generated and managed locally and are never transmitted.
4.1 Master Password
Your vault is protected by a master password that only you know.
We do not store or access this password
It cannot be recovered if forgotten
4.2 Biometric Authentication
SilentSafe may support biometric authentication (fingerprint / face unlock):
Biometrics are handled by your device’s secure system APIs
We do not access or store biometric data
4.3 Secure Key Storage
Sensitive keys are stored using platform-level secure storage:
Android Keystore / iOS Keychain
Hardware-backed security where available
SilentSafe includes additional protections:
Prevention of screenshots and screen recording (where supported)
Protection against unauthorized screen sharing
App-level access control mechanisms
These features help reduce the risk of data exposure.
SilentSafe does not collect any data, including:
Personal information (name, email, phone)
Stored credentials or vault content
Device identifiers
Usage analytics
SilentSafe operates fully offline.
No internet connection is required for core functionality
No vault data is transmitted externally
Internet may only be used when:
Opening external links (e.g., privacy policy)
Sending support emails initiated by the user
We do not share any data with third parties.
Since no data is collected or transmitted, there is nothing to share.
SilentSafe allows exporting data in multiple formats:
Encrypted Backup (.vault)
Secured with AES-256
Requires a user-defined password
Recommended for safe storage

Structured format
May not be encrypted
Intended for controlled usage

Readable by anyone with access to the file
Important:
You are responsible for protecting exported files. Use encrypted formats whenever possible.
All data remains on your device only
Uninstalling the app deletes stored vault data
Exported files must be manually deleted
We do not retain any copies of your data.
Because SilentSafe is fully private and offline:
Your master password cannot be recovered
Loss of access may result in permanent data loss
You are responsible for securing your device and backups
SilentSafe does not integrate:
Advertising networks
Analytics tools
Cloud storage services
Crash reporting tools
If any third-party services are introduced, this policy will be updated.
While SilentSafe uses strong encryption and secure practices, no system can guarantee absolute security.
Users should:
Keep their device secure
Avoid sharing sensitive data
Use strong master passwords
SilentSafe does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect:
Feature updates
Security improvements
Legal requirements
Updates will be reflected with a revised “Last updated” date.
