What this extension does

NSFW Content Blur is a browser extension that detects and blurs inappropriate content on web pages using on-device AI. It also enforces SafeSearch on major search engines.

Data Collection

This extension does NOT collect, transmit, or store any personal data. All content analysis is performed locally on your device using bundled AI models. No images, videos, or browsing data are ever sent to external servers.

Data Stored Locally

The extension stores the following data locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API:

• Filter on/off preference

• Parental lock status

• Authentication tokens for the optional parental control feature (via Supabase)

This data never leaves your browser and is not accessible to us or any third party.

Third-Party Services

The optional parental control feature uses Supabase for authentication (login/signup). Only the email and password you provide during signup are sent to Supabase. No browsing data or content is shared.

Permissions

The extension requests browser permissions solely to scan page content for NSFW material and enforce SafeSearch. No data collected through these permissions is transmitted externally.
