Welcome to NoteChrome, a Chrome extension designed to enhance your note-taking experience directly in the browser. Your privacy is our priority, and this policy explains how we handle your data.
NoteChrome does not collect, store, or share any personal data. The extension operates locally on your device:
Local Storage: Stores notes, color tags, and preferences (e.g., dark mode, pinned notes) locally using chrome.storage.local.
No Personal Data: We never access or store your name, email, browsing history, or external accounts.
NoteChrome requests the following permissions for functionality:
storage: Saves notes and settings locally on your browser.
tts (Text-to-Speech): Allows you to play notes aloud using your browser’s built-in voices.
These permissions are only used to power core features and never for tracking or data collection.
NoteChrome does not use:
Analytics or tracking tools.
Ads or third-party scripts.
External servers or cloud storage.
Your notes stay entirely on your device.
Local-Only Storage: Notes are saved directly to your browser and never transmitted externally.
No Risks: Since no personal data is collected, there is no risk of leaks or breaches.
You have full control:
Delete notes permanently at any time.
Export/Import notes for backup or transfer.
Uninstall the extension via Chrome’s extension manager.
Updates will be posted here. Continued use means you accept the revised terms.
