1. Overview

MonadScope ("the App") is a mobile application developed and operated by OshVanK ("we", "us", or "our"). The App provides real-time validator monitoring and network intelligence for the Monad blockchain network.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using MonadScope, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Expo Push Token

When you enable push notifications, the App generates an Expo Push Token — a unique identifier issued by Expo's notification infrastructure. This token is stored on our backend server and is used solely to deliver push notifications to your device.

2.2 Favorites & Preferences

The validator addresses you add to your favorites list are stored on our backend server, linked to your push token. This is necessary to deliver personalized alerts about your watched validators.

2.3 Network Preference

Your selected default network (Mainnet or Testnet) is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

2.4 App Activity Timestamps

We record the date and time of your last app interaction to maintain database hygiene. User records inactive for more than 30 days are automatically deleted.

2.5 Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information.

• We do not collect your location data.

• We do not collect device identifiers beyond the Expo Push Token.

• We do not use analytics SDKs or advertising trackers.

• We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone, or files.

3. How We Use Your Information

The data we collect is used exclusively for the following purposes:

• Delivering push notifications about validator status changes you have subscribed to.

• Sending hourly summary reports for your favorited validators.

• Notifying you when a new app version is available.

• Maintaining the reliability and performance of the notification service.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on a dedicated private server (VPS) located in the European Union. All communication between the App and our backend is conducted over HTTPS (TLS encryption). Access to the server is restricted and protected by firewall rules and SSH key authentication.

While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Your push token and associated favorites are retained for as long as you actively use the App. User records that have not been active for 30 days are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers.

You can also manually delete your data at any time by clearing your favorites and disabling push notifications within the App's Settings screen.

6. Third-Party Services

MonadScope uses the following third-party services:

• Expo Notifications (Expo, Inc.) — Used to deliver push notifications. No personal data beyond your push token is shared.

• CoinGecko API — Used to fetch MON token price data. No personal data is sent.

• DeFiLlama API — Used to fetch Monad ecosystem protocol data. No personal data is sent.

• CryptoPanic API — Used to aggregate Monad-related news headlines. No personal data is sent.

• YouTube Data API (Google LLC) — Used to display official Monad Foundation videos. No personal data is sent.

• NewsAPI — Used to aggregate Monad-related news. No personal data is sent.

• Monad RPC Endpoints — The App's backend connects to Monad's public RPC endpoints to monitor block production. No personal data is transmitted.

7. Children's Privacy

MonadScope is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request deletion of your data by disabling notifications in the App settings.

• Request confirmation of what data we hold associated with your push token.

• Opt out of push notifications at any time via the App settings or your device's notification settings.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
