MeldLoom ("we," "us," or "our") built Mahjong Table (the "App") as a tool to help you learn and practice American Mah Jongg. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

The short version: the App does not have user accounts, does not run analytics or tracking, and does not send your personal information to us or to any third party. Everything you enter stays on your device.

Information stored on your device

The App lets you enter and save information so it can remember your progress and preferences. This includes:

• A display name you choose (defaults to "Learner")

• Your skill level, learning goals, and settings (tiles, haptics, appearance, etc.)

• Learning progress, lesson completion, practice stats, streaks, and quiz scores

• Your private "Card Companion" notes and preferences

• Saved practice hands ("racks")

• Scorekeeper sessions, including the player names and hand values you enter

• Whether you indicate you own an official National Mah Jongg League card, and the card year

All of this is stored locally on your device only. It is never transmitted to our servers — we do not operate any servers that receive it. We cannot see, access, or recover this information.

The App does not collect your official card's hand list or reproduce copyrighted card content.

Information we do NOT collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or contacts.

• We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies.

• We do not include third-party tracking SDKs.

• We do not track you across other apps or websites.

• We do not build advertising profiles.

Purchases and subscriptions

The App offers optional premium subscriptions. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using your Apple ID. We do not receive or store your payment card number, billing address, or other payment details.

Apple provides us only with anonymous transaction and entitlement information needed to unlock premium features and to restore purchases. Your use of the App Store is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and the Apple Media Services Terms. Subscriptions renew and can be managed or canceled through your Apple ID account settings.

Sharing features

The Scorekeeper includes a "Share summary" option. When you tap it, the App uses the standard iOS share sheet, and you choose whether and where to send that summary (for example, Messages or Mail). We are not involved in that transfer and do not receive a copy. Anything you share this way is subject to the privacy practices of the destination you choose.

How your information is used

Information you enter is used solely to provide the App's features on your device — tracking progress, showing stats, saving notes and scorecards, and personalizing your experience. Because the data never leaves your device, it is not used for any other purpose.

Data retention and deletion

Your data remains on your device until you remove it. You can delete it by:

• Using in-app reset options (for example, "Replay onboarding" or clearing saved items), or

• Deleting the App from your device, which removes all locally stored data.

Children's privacy

The App is a general-audience learning tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App does not collect personal information from anyone, no such information about children is transmitted to us.

Security

Your information is stored within the App's private storage on your device and is protected by your device's own security (such as your passcode and device encryption). Because we do not transmit or store your data off-device, there is no server-side database of your information to be breached.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, in an updated version of the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
