This Privacy Policy explains how LedgerLite ("the App", "we", "our") handles information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
2.1 Information You Enter
The App allows you to enter business and financial data, including:
- Client names, email addresses, phone numbers, and addresses
- Transaction amounts, descriptions, and dates
- Invoice details and line items
- Receipt photos taken or selected from your device gallery
This data is entered voluntarily by you and is used solely to provide the features of the App.
2.2 Data We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal or financial data on external servers. The App does not:
- Require you to create an account
- Send your data to our servers or any third-party servers (except as described in Section 4)
- Access your contacts, calendar, or other personal information beyond what you enter
2.3 Automatically Collected Information
The App does not automatically collect analytics or usage data. We do not use crash reporting services or behavioral analytics tools.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
All data you enter in the App is used exclusively to:
- Display and organize your bookkeeping records within the App
- Generate financial reports and summaries
- Create invoices and track clients
- Perform backup and restore operations initiated by you
Your data is never shared with us or any third parties by the App.

4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES — GOOGLE ADMOB
The App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Google AdMob may collect certain information to show relevant ads. This may include:
- Device identifiers (Advertising ID)
- General location data (country/region level)
- App usage information for ad targeting purposes
This data collection is governed by Google's Privacy Policy:

You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings:
Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
We do not receive or have access to any information collected by Google AdMob.

5. DATA STORAGE
5.1 Local Storage Only
All App data — including clients, transactions, invoices, receipts, and settings — is stored exclusively on your device's local storage. No data is uploaded to any server by us.
5.2 Data Security
Your data is stored in the App's private storage area, which is protected by Android's built-in sandboxing. Other apps cannot access this data. We recommend using the Backup feature to protect against data loss from device failure.

6. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
6.1 How Long We Retain Your Data
Because all data is stored locally on your device, it is retained for as long as you use the App or until you choose to delete it. We do not have copies of your data and cannot delete it on your behalf.
6.2 How to Delete Your Data
You have full control over your data. You can delete it at any time using the following methods:
Option A — Delete individual records:
Open any Client, Transaction, or Invoice in the App and use the Delete option.
Option B — Clear all App data:
Go to your device's Settings → Apps → LedgerLite → Storage → Clear Data.
This permanently removes all data stored by the App.
Option C — Uninstall the App:
Uninstalling LedgerLite from your device removes all App data stored on your device, including the database and receipt photos.
Note: Backup ZIP files you have shared or saved externally (e.g., to email, cloud storage, or another device) are not affected by the above actions. You are responsible for deleting those copies if desired.
6.3 Receipt Photos
Receipt photos taken within the App are stored in the App's private storage directory. They are deleted when you remove the receipt from a transaction, clear App data, or uninstall the App.

7. PERMISSIONS
The App may request the following Android permissions:
- INTERNET: Required for Google AdMob to display advertisements.
- READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Required to save backup files and access receipt images from your gallery (Android 12 and below).
- READ_MEDIA_IMAGES: Required to access photos for receipt attachments (Android 13 and above).
- CAMERA: Required to take receipt photos directly within the App.
These permissions are used only for the stated purposes and are not used to access unrelated data.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
This App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has entered personal data through the App, you can remove it by following the deletion steps in Section 6.

9. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
