SoftX Lab ("we", "us", or "our") operates the LabOne mobile application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains how LabOne handles information when you use the App.
By using LabOne, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Handle
LabOne is designed primarily as a local laboratory management application. Information entered into the App is intended to remain on your device unless you explicitly choose an action that sends or shares it.
Depending on how you use the App, the following information may be stored:
Patient and Laboratory Information
You may enter information such as:
Patient name
Patient age and sex
Patient identification or laboratory-related information
Doctor information
Test orders
Laboratory test results
Reference ranges, units and observations
Report and report-revision information
Laboratory profile information
This information is used solely to provide the laboratory management and reporting functionality of LabOne.
Reports and Files
LabOne may create and store:
Laboratory reports
PDF report files
Report revisions
Laboratory logo/assets
Locally generated application files
These files are used to provide report generation, preview, printing, sharing and related functionality.
2. Local Storage
LabOne is designed to process laboratory information locally on the user's device.
Patient records, laboratory records, reports and related application data are stored in the App's local database/storage.
We do not operate a cloud database for your patient records as part of the current LabOne application.
You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of your laboratory information where the App provides backup/export functionality.
3. Security
LabOne provides security features designed to help protect locally stored laboratory information, including:
PIN-based application protection
Biometric authentication where supported by the device
Secure storage for security credentials
Database encryption/security mechanisms
Protection against screenshots where applicable
Controlled access to laboratory records and reports
Your PIN and authentication credentials are not intended to be accessible to SoftX Lab.
You are responsible for keeping your device, PIN and biometric credentials secure.
4. Google Play Billing
LabOne offers optional paid subscriptions through Google Play Billing.
When you purchase a subscription, payment processing is handled by Google Play. LabOne does not receive or store your complete credit-card, debit-card or other payment credentials.
LabOne may receive and process information necessary to verify your subscription entitlement, such as purchase-related verification information provided through Google Play.
Subscription information is used only to:
Verify subscription entitlement
Enable subscription features
Restore eligible purchases
Manage trial and subscription access
Prevent unauthorized use of subscription features
Google's handling of payment information is governed by Google's own privacy policies and terms.
Google Play's billing system processes payment information through the user's Google Account rather than providing the developer with the user's complete payment credentials.
5. Trial and Subscription Information
LabOne may maintain local information required to determine:
Trial status
Subscription status
Grace-period status
Subscription expiration/entitlement status
This information is used only for licensing and feature-access decisions.
LabOne does not sell this information.
6. Information We Do Not Collect
LabOne does not intentionally collect:
Advertising identifiers for advertising purposes
Precise device location
Contacts
SMS or call logs
Microphone recordings
Camera recordings
Browsing history
Personal advertising profiles
LabOne does not contain advertising.
7. Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
Patient and laboratory information is not intentionally shared with SoftX Lab servers or third parties for advertising or profiling.
Information may leave the device when you explicitly use an operating-system feature such as:
Sharing a generated report
Printing a report
Exporting or backing up information
Using another application selected by you to handle a shared file
When you use such functionality, the selected third-party application may process the information according to its own privacy policy.
8. Internet Access
LabOne may use network connectivity for functionality associated with Google Play Billing, including subscription purchase and verification.
The App does not require a continuous internet connection for ordinary local laboratory data entry and report generation.
Subscription verification may require network connectivity when necessary.
9. Data Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect information stored by the App.
However, no electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Because LabOne stores laboratory information locally, users should also protect their device with an appropriate device lock and keep their App PIN confidential.
Google Play requires developers to handle personal and sensitive data securely and to clearly disclose how such data is accessed, used and shared.
10. Data Retention and Deletion
Information stored locally by LabOne generally remains on the device until:
You delete the information from within the App, where supported;
You clear the App's data;
You uninstall the App; or
You otherwise remove the relevant files/database from the device.
Because the current application is primarily local and does not maintain a cloud account containing your laboratory records, SoftX Lab does not maintain a central copy of those locally stored patient records.
Important: Clearing application data or uninstalling the App may permanently remove locally stored laboratory information. Users should create an appropriate backup/export before doing so when required.
11. Children's Privacy
LabOne is a professional laboratory management application and is not directed toward children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for advertising, profiling or other unrelated purposes.
12. Third-Party Services
LabOne may use services/components provided by third parties, including:
Google Play Billing — for subscription purchases and entitlement-related processing.
Android platform services — for system functionality such as printing, sharing, biometrics and secure device storage.
Third-party services may process information according to their respective policies.
Google Play requires developers to ensure that third-party SDKs and services used in their applications comply with applicable user-data requirements.
13. Your Responsibilities
If you use LabOne to store patient or laboratory information, you are responsible for:
Entering information lawfully and accurately
Obtaining any required patient permissions or authorizations
Protecting access to your device and App
Maintaining appropriate backups
Complying with applicable healthcare, privacy and data-protection laws
LabOne is a software tool and does not replace your legal or professional responsibilities regarding patient information.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when LabOne's functionality, data practices or applicable requirements change.
The updated version will be published with a revised Effective Date.
We recommend reviewing this Privacy Policy periodically.
