1. Introduction Welcome to iCB ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application collects, uses, and shares your information. By using our app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1. Location Data (Coarse and Fine Location) Our application functions as a location-based Citizens Band (CB) radio simulator. To connect you with other users within a specific radius (e.g., 33 km), we must collect and process your location data.

• How we use it: Your location is used solely to determine which users are within range to send and receive voice messages.

• Background Usage: Because the app allows communication while minimized (via a Foreground Service), we collect location data even when the app is running in the background or the screen is off, provided you have enabled the "Notifications" and connected to the service.

• Data Retention: Your location data is ephemeral. It is processed in real-time to facilitate communication and is not stored permanently on our servers.

2.2. Audio Data (Microphone) We require access to your device's microphone to allow you to transmit voice messages to other users.

• Usage: Audio is recorded only when you actively press the "TALK" or "Mic" button.

• Retention: Voice data is transmitted to nearby users in real-time via WebSocket. We do not retain or archive your voice conversations on our servers.

2.3. Battery Optimization & Background Connectivity To provide the core Walkie-Talkie service, the app requests the REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS permission.

• Usage: This is used strictly to maintain the necessary persistent network connection (WebSocket) for receiving audio messages while the app operates in the background or when the screen is off. Without this exemption, the Android system may sever the connection to save power, causing you to miss incoming messages.

• Safety: We do not use this permission for tracking or any other background processing unrelated to the VoIP stream.

2.4. Device Information and Identifiers We may collect information about your mobile device, including device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers (Advertising ID).

• Usage: This data is used to display personalized advertisements through our partners and for app functionality (user safety and blocking features).

3. Third-Party Services We use third-party services to display advertisements and support our infrastructure. These providers may collect data used to identify you (Advertising ID):

• Google AdMob (https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites)

• Meta Audience Network

• Unity Ads

4. GDPR and User Consent For users located in the European Economic Area (EEA), we request your explicit consent before loading personalized advertisements through the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP). You can manage or revoke your consent at any time within the app settings.

5. Data Safety and Security We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data. However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

• User Anonymity: We do not require you to create an account or provide a name/email address to use the app. You interact anonymously.

• Moderation: While users are anonymous, we reserve the right to block devices that violate our usage terms (e.g., broadcasting abusive content).

6. Children’s Privacy Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so that we will be able to perform necessary actions.
