Inkwell does not collect, store, sell, or transmit your personal data, browsing history, or any content from the websites you visit. Everything happens locally in your browser.
Inkwell only ever works with text you've explicitly selected on a webpage or typed yourself into the card editor. It does not read your browsing history, does not access tab URLs, and does not run on pages in the background — it only activates when you right-click selected text or open the editor directly.
Your settings (Pro license status, number of cards created) are stored locally using Chrome's built-in storage APIs and never leave your device. When you use the right-click "Create Quote Card" option, the selected text is briefly held in local storage just long enough to hand it off to the card editor page, then deleted immediately.
If you enter a Pro license key and click Activate, the extension sends that key to Gumroad's license verification service (api.gumroad.com) to confirm it's valid. This is the only network request the extension ever makes, only happens when you initiate it, and includes nothing besides the key you typed. If you never activate Pro, no network request is made at all.
Personally identifiable information, health information, financial or payment information, authentication credentials, personal communications, location data, browsing history, or keystroke/click tracking. No analytics or tracking scripts are used.
Gumroad, solely for license key verification as described above, and only when you initiate it. See gumroad.com/privacy for their policy.
All stored data lives in your browser's local storage and is removed automatically if you uninstall the extension.
