Privacy Policy – ImageMiner
Last Updated: 24 November 2025
ImageMiner is a Chrome extension that helps users extract, preview, filter, and download images from the webpage they are currently viewing. This privacy policy explains how the extension handles data.
ImageMiner runs locally in your browser and only acts when you click the extension. The extension scans the currently-open page to detect images and presents them for selection and download. No personal data is collected, stored, or transmitted by ImageMiner. The extension may perform HEAD requests to image URLs to obtain file size information for display; these requests are made to the image hosts and do not include user-identifying information. No images or page content are uploaded to our servers.
ImageMiner does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal or sensitive data.
The extension does NOT collect:
Personal information
Browsing history
Website content
User activity
Images from websites
Identifiers or cookies
Form inputs
All processing happens locally in your browser.
The extension scans only the webpage you manually activate it on by clicking the browser action icon.
It reads only image elements (<img> and CSS background images) for the sole purpose of displaying them to you so you can choose which ones to download.
Nothing is sent to any server.
Nothing is stored outside your device.
ImageMiner uses the following Chrome permissions strictly for its single purpose:
Used to read images from the currently open tab when you click the extension.
Used to temporarily inject a content script to detect images on the page.
Used to download images that the user selects manually.
Used only to access the same webpage you are viewing to read image URLs.
None of these permissions allow us to collect or transmit data.
ImageMiner does not share any data with third parties.
The extension does not target children and does not collect data from anyone.
