This Privacy Policy explains how SaveZap handles information when you browse websites, download videos, manage or play saved videos, and buy SaveZap Premium. It applies to the SaveZap Android app (package name com.vidpull.videodownloader), published on Google Play by Utilities Mobile. For privacy questions, contact phamthanhtan.dev@gmail.com.
SaveZap does not require a SaveZap account and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or precise location. Your browsing history, the pages you visit, the text you type, and your downloaded videos are not sent to the developer. The app uses Google services for advertising, analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration, and payments, as described in section III. Websites you visit have their own data practices, as explained in section V.
Browsing data: SaveZap stores visited page URLs, page titles, visit times, bookmarks, and browser preferences on your device. It inspects pages and media requests on your device to identify videos and show download options. Search terms are sent to the search engine you select.
Cookies and website storage: The built-in browser uses Android WebView. When cookies are enabled, websites and their embedded services may store cookies, including sign-in sessions and preferences. Websites may also use local storage and cached files. Relevant cookies, page addresses, and browser information may be used in requests to retrieve videos from those websites.
Downloads and playback: SaveZap processes video URLs, source page URLs, request headers, file names, download status, and media metadata to download and display videos. Download tasks may temporarily retain URLs and cookies on your device for background work or retries. Saved videos, thumbnails, playback positions, download history, and app settings are stored locally. Videos are saved in the shared Movies/SaveZap folder.
Shared links: When you share a link to SaveZap from another app, SaveZap opens that link in its browser. The link stays on your device.
External app links: When you choose a supported link that opens another app, SaveZap may check locally whether a supported app, such as a video or social app, is installed. These checks are used to handle that action and are not uploaded as an app inventory.
Install ID: SaveZap creates a random ID on first launch. It is not derived from your device, phone number, or Google account. A one-way hash of it is passed to Google Play with a purchase, so that a purchase can be linked to this installation without personal data.
SaveZap uses the following Google services. They receive data directly from the app and handle it under their own terms and privacy policies.
1. Google AdMob (advertising). Free users see ads, including app-open, banner, and full-screen ads. To serve, measure, and limit ads and to prevent fraud, AdMob collects the Android advertising ID, IP address, device and app information (such as model, operating system, language, and app version), approximate location derived from the IP address, and ad interactions (such as ad views and taps). Ads may be personalized where permitted.
Consent: In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, and where otherwise required, SaveZap asks for your consent through Google's User Messaging Platform before ads use personal data. You can change your choice at any time in SaveZap Settings → Ad privacy (shown where consent is required). You can also reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalization, in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Google → Ads). SaveZap Premium subscribers do not see ads.
2. Google Analytics for Firebase (usage analytics). To understand how the app is used and to improve it, SaveZap reports app usage events such as screens opened, buttons tapped, whether a download started, completed, or failed, the quality chosen, settings changed, and paywall views. Firebase also collects app instance IDs, device and app information, approximate location derived from the IP address, and the advertising ID when available. SaveZap does not send what you type, page addresses or website names, video titles, file names, or file contents to analytics.
3. Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports). When the app crashes or hits a serious error, Crashlytics collects a crash report containing the stack trace, device model, operating system version, app version, an installation identifier, the screen that was open, whether Premium is active, and a short log of the app events that came just before the crash (the same kind of events listed above). It is used only to find and fix bugs.
4. Firebase Remote Config. SaveZap downloads settings such as how often full-screen ads may appear, the sample video address, and the Premium offer shown. To do this, Firebase receives an app instance ID and basic device and app information.
5. Google Play Billing (SaveZap Premium). Premium is an optional weekly or yearly subscription sold through Google Play. Google Play processes the payment; SaveZap never receives your card or payment details. SaveZap receives purchase information from Google Play (such as the product, purchase token, order status, and renewal status) and checks it on your device to unlock Premium features. Manage or cancel your subscription in the Google Play Store → Payments & subscriptions.
Google's policies: How Google uses data from apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Firebase privacy and security: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy. AdMob and ads: https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543.
Data collected by these services is encrypted in transit. SaveZap does not sell personal data.
INTERNET: To load websites, search, inspect available media, download videos, show ads, and connect to the Google services above.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: To check connectivity and apply download network preferences, such as Wi-Fi only.
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 9 and earlier): To save and manage downloaded videos in shared storage. Newer Android versions use the system media storage APIs.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS: To show download progress and completion notifications, subject to your Android notification settings.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE and FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC: To continue user-requested downloads in the background.
BILLING: To let you buy SaveZap Premium through Google Play.
AD_ID (added by the Google Mobile Ads SDK): To read the Android advertising ID for ads and analytics, as described in section III.
SaveZap does not request access to your contacts, SMS, microphone, camera, or precise location. You can manage available permissions in Android Settings; denying a permission may limit the related feature.
When you visit a website, use a search engine, or download media, your device connects to the relevant website, search provider, media host, and services embedded in that content. They can receive your IP address, requested URLs or search terms, browser/device information, and applicable cookies or request headers. Their privacy policies govern how they use and retain that information. They may display advertisements or use tracking technologies within their websites.
If you choose to share a page or video, the selected app or recipient receives the content you share. Other apps with appropriate Android access may also be able to read videos saved in shared storage.
Android backup or device transfer may include eligible app data depending on your device, operating system, and backup settings. Such backups are managed by your system or backup provider.
Local history, bookmarks, preferences, playback information, and website data remain on your device until you remove them, the app replaces older entries, or the system clears them. Download task records may remain after a task finishes until Android WorkManager removes them or you clear app storage.
Use the browser history and bookmark controls to remove those records. In Browser settings, use "Clear history, cookies and cache" for those data types. To remove remaining app-private data, clear SaveZap storage in Android Settings or uninstall the app. Review your Android backup settings separately if you also want to remove or prevent backed-up copies.
Delete downloaded videos from the SaveZap library or your device file manager. Videos in shared storage may remain after uninstalling SaveZap and must be deleted separately.
Data held by Google services is kept under their retention settings: Google Analytics event data is kept for the retention period set for the project (no longer than 14 months), and Crashlytics crash reports for up to 90 days. Ad data is retained under Google's policies. Because this data is linked to random app and advertising identifiers rather than to your name or email, the simplest way to stop it being linked to you is to reset or delete your advertising ID and clear SaveZap's storage or uninstall the app, which creates new app identifiers. You may also email us to ask about or request deletion of data linked to your installation; we will help where we can identify it.
Support correspondence is retained while needed to handle your request and any related follow-up or applicable legal obligations. You can request deletion of information you sent us by emailing phamthanhtan.dev@gmail.com. We cannot remotely delete files stored only on your device or data controlled by websites you visited.
SaveZap is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and is not designed for them. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will help remove it.
SaveZap uses Android app storage and system access controls for app-private data. Downloaded videos in shared storage are not a private or encrypted vault. HTTPS connections use transport encryption; SaveZap also supports HTTP sources, whose traffic is not encrypted. Avoid entering sensitive information on untrusted or unencrypted websites. No method of storage or transmission can guarantee absolute security.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. You can withdraw ads consent in SaveZap Settings → Ad privacy (shown where consent is required), control the advertising ID in Android Settings, and contact us for other requests.
We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The latest version and update date will appear on this page. If you have a privacy question or a request about your information, email phamthanhtan.dev@gmail.com.
