• Camera & Images: We access your device's camera and photo gallery only when you explicitly choose to take a photo or select an existing image for text extraction.

• Extracted Text: The text extracted from your images is processed to provide the OCR service.

• Device Information: We may collect basic, non-identifying technical data (e.g., device model, OS version) for performance monitoring and bug fixing.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Core Functionality: Images are used solely to extract text using AI (Gemini 2.5).

• Local Storage: Your scan history and "Favorites" are stored locally on your device. We do not upload your personal scan history to our servers.

• AI Processing: Text recognition is performed using advanced AI models. In most cases, image data is processed ephemerally—meaning it is held in volatile memory only for the duration of the extraction and is not stored permanently by the AI provider for training or other purposes.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties.

• Service Providers: We use Google’s Gemini AI to power our OCR features. This processing is subject to Google’s privacy standards.

• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information only if required by law or to protect the safety and rights of our users.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

• User Control: Since your scan history is saved locally, you can delete any scan or the entire history at any time within the App settings.

• App Uninstallation: Deleting the App will remove all locally stored scan data from your device.

5. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, since the majority of your data remains on your own device, the security of your scans also depends on your device's security settings (e.g., screen locks).

6. Children’s Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date."
