This Privacy Policy describes how **Subscription Reaper** ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").
## 1. Information Collection and Use
Subscription Reaper is designed to respect your privacy while providing advanced tools to manage your expenses.
### a. Personal Data
We do not require you to create an account or log in to use the basic features of the App. We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number on our servers for general usage.
### b. Subscription Data
The data you enter regarding your subscriptions (service names, prices, billing cycles, dates) is primarily stored locally on your device using `localStorage`.
### c. AI Insights (Google Gemini API)
To provide the "Smart Insight" feature, the App sends a text list of your subscriptions and total monthly spend to Google's Gemini API.
* **Purpose:** To generate financial advice and spending analysis.
* **Data Shared:** Subscription names, prices, categories, and billing cycles.
* **Retention:** This data is processed transiently by the AI model to generate a response and is not permanently stored by us.

### d. Usage Data & Analytics (Firebase)
We use **Google Analytics for Firebase** to understand how users interact with our App and to improve its performance.
* **Data Collected:** Device model, operating system, duration of sessions, pages visited, and interactions with app features.
* **Purpose:** To analyze usage trends and optimize the user experience.

### e. Payments & Subscriptions (RevenueCat)
We use **RevenueCat** to manage subscription billing and in-app purchases.
* **Data Collected:** Purchase history, subscription status, and an anonymous App User ID.
* **Purpose:** To validate your premium status, restore purchases, and manage auto-renewals.
* **Note:** We do not process or store your credit card information. All financial transactions are handled securely by the Google Play Store.

### f. Advertising ID
We may use the **Android Advertising ID (AAID)** for analytics and attribution purposes (e.g., to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns).
* **Control:** You can reset your Advertising ID or opt-out of personalized tracking in your device settings (Settings > Google > Ads).
## 2. Permissions
The App requests the following permissions to function:
* **Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS):** Used to schedule local reminders for upcoming subscription payments.
* **Internet Access (INTERNET):** Required to communicate with the Gemini API, fetch analytics configuration, and validate purchases.
* **Advertising ID (AD_ID):** Used for analytics attribution as described above.
## 3. Log Data
We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app, we collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.
## 4. Service Providers
We may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:
* To facilitate our Service;
* To provide the Service on our behalf;
* To perform Service-related services; or
* To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

## 5. Data Storage and Security
* **Local Storage:** Your subscription list resides on your device. If you uninstall the App or clear its data, this list will be lost unless you have backed it up manually.
* **Security:** We implement reasonable security measures. However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
## 6. Children’s Privacy
Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
