Privacy Policy for RUPP Student Portal

The RUPP Student Portal ("we," "our," or "the App") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard student information when you use our mobile application and associated web services. 

1. Information We Collect 

To provide academic and administrative services, the following information is processed: 

• Staff-Initiated Data: Basic identifiers such as your Legal Name, Student ID number, and University Email are pre-entered into the system by authorized RUPP staff. 

• User-Provided Data: Students use the App to update profile information, such as contact details, to ensure their university profile is accurate. 

• Academic Status: Enrollment status and general university information (view-only). (Note: The current version of the App does not include course schedules or transcripts.) 

2. Purpose of Data Collection 

• To authenticate your identity for secure login. 

• To allow students to manage their official academic profiles. 

• To display official university announcements. 

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure 

• No Third-Party Sharing: We do not sell or share your personal data with any third-party advertisers or outside organizations. 

• Internal Use: Your data is used exclusively for academic administration within the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP). 

4. Data Security 

• Encryption in Transit: All data sent between the App and the server is encrypted using HTTPS (SSL/TLS) protocols. 

5. Data Retention and Deletion 

• Retention: Data is kept as long as you are an active student or as required by university policies.

• Official Records: To maintain the integrity of academic data, any requests to permanently change or delete your official student information must be made in person at the RUPP Study Office.

• App-Related Requests: For requests regarding the removal of app access or app-related data, email us at admin.itcenter@rupp.edu.kh. Please note that our administrators will coordinate with the Study Office to verify and confirm your identity before processing any data requests.

6. Children’s Privacy 

This App is intended for university students and is not directed at children under the age of 13.
