1. Introduction Welcome to ReelWords ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and protected when you use the ReelWords mobile application (the "App").
2. Information We Collect and How We Use It ReelWords is designed to be a privacy-first application. We process most of your data directly on your device.
Photo and Video Library Access: To use ReelWords, you must grant the App access to your device's photo and video library. This access is used strictly to allow you to select videos for editing and to save the final exported video back to your device. We do not upload, store, or share your videos to any external servers. All video rendering is done locally on your iPhone.
Speech Recognition Data: ReelWords uses Apple's native Speech Recognition framework (SFSpeechRecognizer) to transcribe the audio in your videos. The audio from your selected videos may be sent to Apple's secure servers for processing in accordance with Apple's privacy policies. ReelWords does not independently collect, store, or monitor your audio or transcripts.
In-App Purchases and Subscription Data: We offer premium features via auto-renewing subscriptions ("ReelWords Pro"). All payment processing is handled securely by Apple. We use a third-party service, RevenueCat, to manage subscription statuses. RevenueCat collects an anonymous user ID and purchase history to unlock premium features across your devices. We never have access to your credit card or payment information.

4. Data Retention Since we do not host a backend server or require users to create an account, we do not retain your personal data. Your videos and captions remain entirely on your device.
