Privacy Policy for Plan-A-Date

Plan-A-Date is developed and operated by Vlad Emilian Scheau.

This Privacy Policy explains how Plan-A-Date ("the app", "we", "us") handles information when you use the app. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

By using the app you agree to the practices described below.

1. Overview

Plan-A-Date works without creating an account and without asking for your email, phone number or other contact details.

To make its core feature work — creating an invitation, sharing it as a link, and showing you the other person's answer — the app does send the content of the invitation you create to our server so the link can be opened and answered. This is explained in detail below.

Specifically, we do not:

• ask you to create an account or log in;

• collect your email address, phone number or contact details;

• collect or store your GPS location;

• access your contacts, photos, SMS, call logs or device files;

• use third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, etc.);

• show third-party advertising SDKs that track you across apps;

• sell your information or use it for advertising.

2. Information related to invitations and links

When you create an invitation, the following information that you enter is sent to and stored on our server so the invitation can be displayed to the person you share it with and so you can receive their reply:

• the name you enter for yourself (creator name);

• the name you enter for the person you invite (partner name);

• your invitation/proposal message;

• the options you offer: available dates, times, locations and food choices;

• the selected interface language;

• a style preference ("For her" / "For him") that is used only to choose the invitation's color theme.

The content of invitations is created by you. Please only enter information you are comfortable sharing with the person you send the invitation to, because anyone who has the invitation link can open and view that plan.

We do not use the content of your invitations to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell this information to third parties.

3. Anonymous identifier

The first time it is needed, the app generates a random identifier ("owner ID") on your device. This is a random value (UUID). It is not linked to your name, your Google account, your email, or your device's hardware identifiers.

It is used only to group the invitations you created, so the app can show you their replies and let you clear your history.

4. Invitation responses

When the person you invited answers, their selected date, time, location, food choice and the time of the response are stored on our server and shown to you inside the app, and through a local notification on your device.

5. Information stored only on your device

Some information is stored only locally on your device (in the app's settings) and is not sent to us, including: your chosen app language, onboarding state, the invitation you are currently tracking, and a counter of how many invitation links you have generated (used to manage the free vs. premium limit).

6. Where your data is stored

Invitation content, the anonymous owner ID, and invitation responses are sent to and stored on our server at:

Data is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection. The web hosting service may log standard technical information (such as IP address and timestamp) as part of normal web server operation. This information is used only for security and maintenance and is not used to identify you as an individual.

7. Payment and in-app purchases

Plan-A-Date may offer an in-app purchase to unlock additional features (for example, unlimited invitations).

Payments are processed by Google Play Billing, operated by Google, in accordance with Google's own terms and privacy policy.

We do not receive your full payment information (such as your full credit card number). We only receive a confirmation that the purchase was successful, so we can unlock the premium features on your device.

8. Children and minors

Plan-A-Date is intended for general audiences and is not specifically directed to children under the age required by local laws for providing consent to data processing (and not under 13).

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided personal information through our app, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.

9. Data retention and deletion

Invitation plans and responses remain on the server so that shared links keep working and your history stays available in the app.

You can remove the responses associated with your anonymous owner ID using the "clear history" function in the app. You can also uninstall the app to remove its locally stored data from your device.

If you would like your data deleted from the server, contact us using the email below and, if possible, include the invitation link(s) involved. Because the owner ID is anonymous, providing the relevant link helps us locate the correct records.

10. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to help protect the information processed by the app against loss, misuse, or unauthorized access, including encrypted (HTTPS) transmission.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Third-party services

Plan-A-Date is designed to work with a minimal number of third-party services. Where third-party services are used (for example, Google Play Billing or standard web hosting for invitation pages), their use is limited to what is necessary for the core functionality of the app.

These third parties operate under their own privacy policies. We recommend that you review those policies for more details on how they handle data.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or in applicable laws.

When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
