Privacy Policy For OmniGauge
Last updated: August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how OmniGauge ("the app," "we," "us") handles information when you use it. OmniGauge is a utility app offering 22 tools including a flashlight, QR scanner, compass, and more, on Android devices.
Information We Access
OmniGauge requests only the permissions each individual tool needs to function. No permission is requested unless you actually open the tool that uses it.
Camera: used by the QR/Barcode Scanner, Color Picker, and Flashlight tools. Camera images are processed on your device only and are never stored or transmitted by us.
Microphone: used by the Sound Meter to measure decibel levels. Audio is analyzed on your device in real time and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.
Location: used by the Speedometer to calculate your current speed via GPS. Location data is used only while that screen is open and is never stored or transmitted by us.
Physical Activity: used by the Step Counter to detect steps via your device's motion sensor.
Phone State: used by the Network Info tool to display your SIM and carrier details (such as carrier name and network type) directly on your device. This information is displayed to you only and is not transmitted to us or any third party by the app.
Photos/Storage: used by the QR Code Generator to save generated QR codes to your device's gallery, only when you tap "Save."
None of the above data is collected, stored on our servers, or sold. It is used solely on your device to power the relevant tool.
Information Stored Locally On Your Device
OmniGauge saves certain preferences locally on your device using standard Android app storage, including: your dark/light theme choice, Ruler calibration settings, your QR code style preference, and a list of your recently used tools. This information stays on your device and is never transmitted to us. It is removed automatically if you clear the app's data or uninstall the app.
Advertising
OmniGauge is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as your advertising ID) and use them to show relevant ads and measure ad performance. This data collection and use is governed by Google's own Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
You can review or reset your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized advertising, in your device's Android system settings under Google Settings > Ads.
Data We Do Not Collect
OmniGauge does not require account creation or login. We do not collect your name, email address, or contact information unless you voluntarily send it to us (for example, by emailing us for support). We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
